NVIDIA RTX 3090 Founders Edition Review: How to Nuke Your Launch
This is our review of the NVIDIA RTX 3090 GPU (using Founders Edition video card). Lots of people are talking about how the RTX 3090 "brings 8K gaming" to fruition. We put those claims to the test.

This benchmark of the NVIDIA RTX 3090 Founders Edition video card looks at thermal performance (temperatures), noise levels, surface flatness, contact pressure, gaming performance and benchmarks, and RTX ray tracing benchmarks. We also look at the "8K gaming is here" claims that NVIDIA made, particularly those that reached millions of people one day prior to launch. Additional testing will be done in the future for workstation benchmarks, like Blender Cycles rendering, Eevee real-time rendering, and Unreal Engine testing -- but the marketing claims go first, particularly given the tight timelines on the review turn-around. We'll also be overclocking the RTX 3090 in our RIPJAY contest revival, but that'll happen in a livestream later today (day of launch).
