I got two this week.

I missed the news about Neil Peart.  That makes me sad.  Moving Pictures was my first concert.  That makes me old.   Dude's been through a heck of a lot though, he deserves to kick back and take it easy.

Come to think of it, Moving Pictures was the last Rush album I really just LOVED.  But still,it is undeniable in my opinion, he is the world's greatest drummer.

"Beyond The Lighted Stage" is an OUTSTANDING documentary about the band.  Alex Lifeson is so, SO funny.   It's been on Netflix, but you have to get it on DVD and watch the additional outtakes of them in the restaurant.  Sidesplitting.  There's also some old video of him at home as a sullen teen trying to tell his parents he doesn't want to go to college.  I'm sure it wasn't funny at the time, but it sure is funny to watch now.

The Geddy and Alex have also said there's no Rush without Neil, so....

Thanks for the good times, boys, take it easy!

Was gonna make some puns, but decided against it.

I also missed it the first time. I've been a diehard Rush fan since Permanent Waves, and this makes me sad  -- but grateful for 40 years of catalogue that won't ever go away. Also: I couldn't agree more about Beyond The Lighted Stage, especially the restaurant scene. Alex stuffing his mouth with refrigerator magnets....
