NRATV's Grant Stinchfield to Obama: "Had every child been given the same armed security yours were protected by, there never would have been a Parkland massacre"

So that's the sort of police state they want.  Elite bodyguards on every child in America?

Nah.. they don't actually value human lives.

2018-04-22 01:15:29 AM
Wow, the NRA really is digging through the bottom of the barrel and through the floor for excuses for mass murder.

Wouldn't the shooter then also have Secret Service protection?

A shooting that took place 1 year and 25 days after Obama left office is Obama's fault. That's what they're going with. Right.

2018-04-22 01:25:17 AM
Neither did Trump. You know, the guy who's been in charge for almost a year and a half, and has the Secret Service with him a few miles up the road from Parkland every weekend while he's playing golf.

2018-04-22 01:26:53 AM
I agree with Mr. Stinchfield.

American students don't need books, well trained teachers, or a safe environment to study in. What American students need is to be constantly reminded that every authority figure in their life is well armed and will execute an extreme response to every potential infraction, least Mr. Stinchfield's apt pupils run the risk of being thugs.

Yeah, but Obama wrote a letter to the Parkland survivors this week. This is more proof that he might still take your guns away.

"For every single time a gun is used in self-defense, there are: 34 homicides, 78 suicides, 2 accidental deaths."

2018-04-22 01:31:37 AM
The real problem is that every student didn't have TWO armed guards. One armed guard faces away, eyes constantly scanning for any threats that might arise, ready to protect the student from any harm. The other armed guard keeps his gun leveled at the student's head, ready to pull the trigger if the student looks as though they're about to harm anyone.

Even Obama didn't have that. It's the only way everyone will be safe.

Also the student will have a gun.

Wow, I had no idea using a gun in self defense was so dangerous! 114 deaths every single time? You'd think i'd've heard something on the news.

2018-04-22 01:35:09 AM
Well, I do have to write that the NRA makes as much sense as any Republican these days.  No matter how they try to word things, they just keep looking like baby raping, child murderers.

Not that there is anything wrong with that, other than the baby raping and child murdering stuff.  I'm sure every single one of them will walk into church Sunday morning thinking that Jesus loves them specifically for their baby raping and child murdering.

Surely every child in America deserves a 30 man, multi-million dollar, 24/7 security detail like Scott Pruitt, dontcha think?

A national program of door control might help, but then shooters just find high points over crowded events. Or drive around shooting from cleverly concealed weapons ports.

Perhaps if we did away with that ban on cruel punishments. Let it be known that shooters die horrible, lingering deaths in the public square.

A Secret Service detail for each child in America is a fantastic idea. Not only will it solve the school-shooting problem, but it will end unemployment as we know it. About 20% of the population is made up of school-age children. A detail of three armed guards per child would leave a mere 20% of us to do the other jobs. That 20% will have to be made up of people unsuitable to be near children, so all the drug addicts, the mentally unstable, the infirm, the elderly, and sex offenders will have to work for private industry. Of couse, we will have to raise taxes precipitously on the wealthy to afford all this, but I am certain all the rich Republicans will be lining up to get right up to enact this. Ted Nugent will be thrilled to be taxed at 90% if it guarantees the safety of our most precious resource--guns.

Better not do that.. we'd end up with a lot of people taking a week to die for their skin color.

The REAL question is why didn't Reagan give all those students Star Wars satellite-based protection. Your move, republicans.

The statistic, culled from FBI data in 2012, seems to be for every 'justifiable' homicide, there are 34 homicides, 78 suicides, and 2 accidental deaths.

While considering the benefits of unfired guns, remember that they also cause harm.  Most of the marriages that are destroyed by guns happen when a spouse threatened with a gun and leaves.

So not only does the NRA hire the scum of the Earth, they also hire the dumb of the Earth.  This is just dumb as all fark.  And of course their racist brains go straight to Obama instead of any other POTUS who could have done the exact same thing in their little fantasy world.  This asshole speaks for the NRA, so just like the GOP, I'm going to go ahead and declare than anyone who remains an NRA member is a farkin' world class idiot.

The NRA's proposed solutions to mass shootings:

1. MORE GUNS!!!1!!!
2. Don't play video games or watch movies.
3. Armed guards and security checkpoints at every mall, church, and school.
4. Personal body guards for everybody.

Bermuda59: Wouldn't the shooter then also have Secret Service protection?

Don't share this but maybe what they want instead is a gun targeted _on_ each kid in case they become a school shooter. Seems more up their alley. That and of course it enforces discipline: "The teacher said to read chapter 3, Punk." "Hey, Dummy, carry the farking 2". "No, no apostrophe in possessive pronouns, i t apostrophe s is a contraction for it is."

This will also go a long way towards ensuring full employment. And as far as it's lacking, remember your Latin. Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

If a spouse leaves because they were threatened with a gun then the marriage was not destroyed by a gun.
