El Oso Blanco needs to keep count better.

He's taking a pretty big lead out there, almost daring him to pick him off.

*lascivious noises*

The pitcher glances over, winds-up and it's bunted, bunted down the third base line.  The suicide squeeze is on.  Here he comes, squeeze play, it's gonna be close.  Here's the throw, here's the play at the plate.  Holy cow, I think he's gonna make it...

STOP RIGHT THERE!

How much intelligence does it take to count to three?

He claims he didn't forget how many outs there were, he was just pissed off and lost his mind.

"I think I got so mad I couldn't think straight."

That is... disquieting, and not just for his life on the field.

I was watching the Cards/Cubs and the play by play man said the triple play was in order. It didn't happen. An inning later it happened over there.

I once tweeted to Will Ferrell that hearing him do that section of that song in his Harry Caray voice would be comedy gold.  I did not hear back from him.

Yeah, "I got so mad that I forgot to stay on the field" is worse.

Everyone has brain farts occasionally. This one cost your team nothing. Embrace it, take your lumps, and everyone will move on pretty quickly.

Mariners still lost though. So all is right in the world.

Do you know what it does to your soul to be a mariners fan for 30 years? Just looking at that word depresses me.

I've been a fan since the 80s, and it's sucking my soul.

When people ask "Why are so many people excited for the NFL draft?" my answer is:

Because the Mariners suck donkey balls once again, so I need something else to look forward to.

Do you ever check out the "seattle sports hell" website?

You can't really fully realize how awful the mariners are until you understand all the talent they have squandered over the years. This is a team that should have two or three World Series appearances and possibly even a win if ownership/management/coaching was even remotely competent.

I haven't, but I will.

The worst part is that King Felix will never see the playoffs as a Mariner...after he has been loyal to this city.

And remember when the M's organization got all pissy because Chris Hanson wanted to build an arena in SoDo?  They can go f*ck themselves with that attitude....you guys are putting out a shiatty product for a long time, and you have the nerve to get all huffy puffy when somebody else is trying to bring basketball back?

/Only went to one M's game last year.
//And that was because my boss gave me tickets to some really good seats...and a parking pass.

That's really the amazing thing, how many quality players wasted their careers in Seattle.

I remember when people were mad that A-Rod left the M's. Yeah, once we had Griffey, a-rod, Edgar Martinez, Randy Johnson, and still managed to fark the dog in classic mariners aplomb.
I'm glad Alex left, not because I had a problem with him at the time but because he got to go have a career. What he chose to do with it is another thing but he got to play with other talented players on teams that enjoyed winning.
Nothing gets me more depressed than thinking all the amazing years someone like Ichiro lost to us in Seattle.

But hey Milton Bradley was a huge score right?

Fan since the 70's. There's a reason I own a Mariner's Hockey jersey. Because I think they would heva e batter franchise record if they played on skates.

I actually get a lot of comments about it when I wear it.
