By stepping on the god damn things in the middle of the night while you're running to the bathroom trying not to squirt urine all over everything?

LIGO? I assume something blocks it from seeing these events.

Not missing not clicking on a Forbes link.

I'm not in the mood to roast Ethan ass Seagull again so soon but I'll register my hate this way for the record.

Perhaps they ran out of parts before finishing it.  They had to make do with what they had on hand.

MAY THE MOD MINISTER(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR GREENING FORBES LINKS CONTRACT FOOT-MALWARE FROM STEPPING ON LIGO DURING THEIR EMERGENCY MIDNIGHT SHART-RUN.

The incognito trick works with Forbes as well as any other pay wall, yanno.

Cool article.  Being able to get an accurate number for black hole-black hole mergers in the universe is pretty farking neato.  As was reading about all the challenges associated with detecting these events individually.

It's a Forbes link, so I'm just going to assume this is what the article says verbatim.

It's starting to look like black holes are way more common than we originally though. I wonder what the significance of that will end up being?

Of course!!

That said, it's not everyone who runs an adblocker, and those who don't, run a serious risk of getting a 'nasty' on their machines. (from what I've herd about their adservers, eh?)

It may be irritating for some to come into threads like this and repeatedly have to put up with c*nts like me, but to others, things like this ARE a damned hill to die on.

Yeah, i don't get the hate for Forbes links.
1) ordinary adblockers take care of it with no nag to turn your adblocker off
2) open incognito also works, apparently, although I've never had to use it on Forbes

That said,
Thank you subby. Interesting.

Suggests to me that there may be a way to overlay gravitational wave background map over the microwave radiation backdrop map...

Forbes should stick with what they're good at, which I assume is something.

That something is not website design.

And then, if you Magic-Eye the resulting map, you can see God's recipe for BBQ--thus settling the debate once and for all.

Exciting times!
