He was only 65, not exactly a spring chicken but not ancient.  Guess he's giving out "$50 and time served" to angels now :(

I remember when I saw him doing stand up on Johnny Carson.  He was always invited to panel after his set.  I thought, "this guy should be on TV".  A month or so later he did one of a few guest appearances on Cheers.  Then obviously Night Court later, which did struggle for a while.  The cast always thought the current season would be their last, even though John Larroquette won so many Emmys he asked to not be nominated any more.

My fav character from the show was Bull. I loved the episode that he went on a game like Jeopardy, and was able to answer the questions before the announcer even asked.

Rumor has it that Bull is Ray Stevenson's dad. Like Benny Hill is Ozzy's dad.

But, could we talk about Markie Post for a moment? Formidable influence on tween me.

I am posting this pic of Markie as a link because there is a crescent of visible nipple.

Honestly, it's SFW, but would probably get deleted.

Very sad.  If you have about an hour, see about watching "Hello, Sucker!" his special from 1986 (Showtime originally).  Seems to be on YouTube, but not sure it's approved, so not linking.

Starz Encore shows it pretty often, so I think they have the rights.

One of my favorite shows. Holds up remarkably well.  The cast was so good across the board, although the later seasons got pretty ridiculous.

Harry was the perfect center of that show. He was always fun in Night Court, Cheers, or anywhere else he showed up.

Liked him a lot of Night Court, but LOVED him on Dave's World, where he played a fictional version of Dave Barry. Great show that. I see someone already mentioned his geek magic act earlier. Surprised I'm the first to mention his turn as adult Richie Tozier in "It."

Get an Android box and Terrarium. You can watch every episode. I just finished Night Court and Cheers from start to finish.

I'm working my way through Frasier now.

I've rewatched a lot of it on Laff the last couple of years. I never noticed how many now famous guest stars they had, including Michael J Fox (before Family Ties) as a young street tough. A lot of Dan's girlfriends are also pretty recognizable, like Teri Hatcher and Sela Ward looking way too young to take a ride on the Dan Fielding trade. Girls, you don't know where he's been

So sad to hear this. Night Court is one of my favorite comedies of all time. I still have Harry's book "Games You Can't Lose" and randomly pulled it off the shelf a few weeks for a trip down memory lane.
