Burned files can be recovered. Files sent to a recycling facility, not so much.

On Tuesday, crates were seen being removed from the central London office that Cambridge Analytica shares with other tenants. No one on the scene would comment on the origin of the crates, and the ICO said it was not involved in their removal.

Do judges run for office in the UK?

Wow, headline wasn't kidding.

Wrong tactic. That Facebook data was likely never on the premises of CA. They would do better to get a warrant to search any AWS accounts controlled by CA staff.

Get a warrant for the recycling facility.

"On Tuesday, crates were seen being removed from the central London office that Cambridge Analytica shares with other tenants."

Probably not a great idea to announce you intend to raid the place until you're ready to actually do that.

It seems fairly evident that the stuff in their files could bring down any number of governments, maybe most western governments. They're very dirty and very successful and they've probably been used by almost everyone.

This is our timeline now. If we root it all out at once, we could literally bring on WWIII due to the chaos it would cause.

Humanity is doomed. Our technology paired with our sloth, greed and indifference will destroy us. If that sounds extreme, attend a Shiathole rally.

What we don't know keeps the contracts alive and movin'.
They don't gotta burn the books they just remove 'em.

It seems like any idiot would feel that files would go up in smoke once this aired. Why not give a private screening to the proper warrant-getting authorities before air time? Then have cameras standing by to film the panic while your show airs and the raid happens.

At what point do we just go straight past the lawyers to full-on guillotines? Cause let's just do that. If the lawyers want to stand in our way they can be first to the block.

We're so utterly f*cked. In other news, Mercer has a lot of money, and someone up on high doesn't want to be fingered for Brexit thanks to CamAnal's work.

Your evidence just went out the door.

How do you let this go public without already having warrant in hand, heading into the building? I'm guessing May and her cronies, who are close to all this, tipped their hands to make sure CA had time to destroy what was needed.

That's the thing, though - they aren't very successful, and it seems that most of their clients fire them the minute the check from Mercer to their superPAC clears.

I'm starting to doubt these incompetent aholes could have influenced the election. We've been discussing these issues for how many days now? And their document shredding has been so poorly managed that they needed to ask for an extension? This should had been done already.

Rebekah and Jennifer Mercer are Directors of Emerdata which was created by SCL/CA people.  Eric Prince and Alexander Nix moved there too.  So it's not so much a new company as just a new front to the same old bullshait.  Like that's gonna fool anyone for very long.

The statement that you would need to google AWS to find facebook's user data is a TLA wet dream.

Maybe someone is just trying to stop the bleeding with a hail-mary. If buildings are on lock-down, nothing goes in...but also, more crates don't get out.

I doubt it and it's likely just me hoping there is a shred of hope here.

Hmm, so much for 'our government is farked up, but the brits'll get this right...'

Still, I can hope they miss something, and there's always hope for the lot of them to accidentally fall into a wood chipper one by one.
