Yeah. This was a few years ago. I was dog sitting for a friend and made the mistake of eating some leftover tuna from his fridge.

In an earlier life I worked in a group home for emotionally disturbed kids. One of the kids was just like me when I was his age, except for his parents. He was full of wonder and hope and love and humor. His parents did a job on him, though. Generally, neglect. He's in jail now.

Parents: until your children are paying taxes, you suck. You suck long and you suck hard. Don't think of yourselves. You just suck until then.

Dilaudid. Addicts ask for it by name at the hospital. Their stomach pain is ALWAYS a "10", and many burst into tears and scream for it even after the Dr says there is nothing wrong with them. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. Scream and cry loud enough and Dr will cave while more tests are ran on the taxpayers dime. 3 days after dope, bed, tv and meals they are discharged. Rinse and repeat

They gave it to my ex when he went to the ER with what turned out to be pleurisy. When the shot took effect, you could see it happen. It was like a giant fist had been gripping him and then suddenly let go.

Several minutes later, the nurse who'd administered the shot walked by the room. Ex turns to me with this blissed-out look and says, "She's my faaavorite nurse."

Yep. My psychiatrist father in law was visiting when I got a shot of that after my first major operation. Pain to bliss after they flushed it through my IV...and I turned to him and said "for the first time I think I understand the merest bit of drug addiction. Holy shiat."

This sounds like Sean Hannity read a piece of hyperbole on Red State, announced it as fact on the air and now everyone believes it.

For future reference, put your hand against a wall, use your fingers to spider crawl up the wall. About the time your elbow straightens out, the shoulder slides nicely into place. It beats waiting for medical personnel to wrench it back into place. It's at least worth a try.

Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor, but I did rehab both shoulders to avoid rotator cuff surgery.
