(Kent Online)   If you're going to falsely claim £38,000 in disability benefits, it's probably best not to run marathons under a false name. Especially when you're the type of person who *ahem* stands out in a crowd   ( kentonline.co.uk) divider line

That plan, developed by the man in charge of Metro school buildings, was never meant for parents to hear.

I expect the school district to take immediate action to correct this issue so that fraud planned by board officials is not made public in the future.

i wish it was so easy here in the States to get Disability. It would have saved me a year, thousands and a couple of Dr bills, plus a court appearance and the cost of a lawyer. Yearly, I need to complete a report on my condition from my Dr.s.

What over there you fill out a few forms and the believe you and start throwing money your way?

I had to see a Dr first before I could get permission to apply and he had to send in a form.Plus I was turned down the first attempt (A) because Disability knows that 90% do not reapply. (B) I still had savings (C) I had obtained unemployment benefits and (D)had no lawyer.

A year later, with a lawyer, broke, in debt, I went to Disability court and won. The accumulated benefits from my first application went to me, and the lawyer took his cut right out of the top.

Man! It would have been sooooo much simpler to write in, lie my arse off and get the disability in a few weeks!! Then, even better, apparently not to have to send in 'progress reports' backed by my Dr!

/BTW, I hate guys with unkempt, stringy dirty looking hair and beards. Gonna grow wild hair, make sure you own a comb and use it. The day of Grizzly Adams is over.

As a former disability examiner, that's a big 10-4.  On Colorado, at the time I worked for them, my bosses were telling us to allowa higher percentage of claims.

I always thought you were supposed to have slip-on gold tooth caps, a skateboard, pants around the ankles, or an obsessively combed & styled afro to sport Echo gear. The guy thought he's taking a hit for benefits fraud, wait until the the marketing department riles up the justice mob to stomp his azz for cultural appropriation. Unless he rapidly implements 2 of the 4 criteria above to gain transcultural authenticity.

I represent clients in SSD.

I once had to, per the state agency that does initial evaluations, get updated medical on a client to show that the condition has not resolved.

I literally had to call the client and ask her to please go to the doctor and get a report showing that her amputated limb had not grown back so that I could submit it.

The jury heard how Mrs Totterdell had signed benefit application forms telling how he needed a zimmer frame, a stick and crutches because of two injuries.

You know who will never need a zimmer?

You're probably right. Florida has this massive population of the elderly and about the least amount of assistance for them and the Governor once rejected federal aid after a hurricane, claiming we could take care of our own. Plus it keeps cutting back on mental health assistance. State has 'Loonytoons' for government. (Like a mayor who got a city manager in trouble since he sent city crews to board her house up before a nasty hurricane and let the crews go home as soon as he could to board up their own homes,)

In fact she was no more than 46 when the picture was taken - they've reused one from the linked November 2015 story.
