It is only because Afrin marched through the blockade in Sinus.

ASo who is fighting who over there? I keep getting confused. A supposed ally is fighting against another one of our supposed allies? Sounds like the biggest clusterfark over there yet...

Can this day get any better?  Can it?

The Kurds are fighting against ISIS and doing a pretty good job. Unfortunately, Turkey does not want the Kurds to exist. So yes, one of our allies - the Kurds - is fighting against one of our supposed allies - the Turks.

Four-sided farkery.  Genocidal Assad and his war criminal Russian backers, the "good guys" who are half Al Qaeda, Kurds and assorted allies supported by the States who are being attacked by a NATO member (and engaging in a little brutality on the side), and ISIS.

There isn't really a good side, just a least-bad side.

The Turks are trying to wipe the Kurds. Again.

And yes, Syria is the biggest Mideast clusterfark yet.

Turkey is a NATO member.  I disavow them.

I would argue that the Mideast in general is a giant clusterfark. Doesn't help that each country has like 4 other countries that either want to bomb the shiat out of them or "help" them bomb the shiat out of other countries.

Ok I get why Turkey is fighting the Kurds. But what is the Syrian Rebels doing fighting the Kurds?
You'd think with Russia kicking their ass they would have other things to worry about.

Wait until the Israeli-Iran/Hezbollah war starts. Then it will reach maximum clusterfarkdom.

Because Turkey is paying them. And likely hosting their families in Turkey.

The Rebels aren't a unified force so much as a bunch of squabbling splinter groups under the same broad banner.  Just south of Afrin is a band of Wahhabi nutjobs fighting another group of Wahhabi nutjobs rather than go after the government forces next door.

Hilarious. Hahaha.  Until the Kurds pull out en masse to protect their homes from genocide and starts a full scale war with Turkey while ISIS regains strength.

A competent President would have intervened between our two allies before it got to this point.  Sad.
