The Golden Knights need to break out of this funk they've been in since the trade deadline.

Eastern Conference bubble is basically 3 teams for 2 spots. Devils are losing to Winnipeg, Columbus is losing to Colorado, Florida hasn't dropped the puck yet.

If David Backes doesn't want to be suspended, perhaps David Backes should not deliver late, high hits.

I'm a Coyotes fan. Their season has been like my poker playing for the last couple of years: broke before you know what the fark happened.

Ahhh, for a guy with no history in a 12 year career on something I don't think was totally egregious, getting 3 games is steep.

But, as the wheel of justice turns....

Yeah, I'm mostly being ornery

I mean on the one hand it was really late (even in real time), but on the other hand knocking that down to one game on appeal probably would've been fine.

Marchand really is filthy and doesn't get enough run. Probably because he is a rat, but that sequence short-handed right there by him was insane.

Ah, the Perds' GM is the winningest GM in NHL history (1300ish wins between Washington/Nashville) ... which just goes to show how often GMs get fired if 1300 is the highwater mark for all of the NHL's history

Game on...

Taylor Hall's streak ends at (26) 19 games, and the Devils' lead over Columbus is now just one. If Florida wins, they'll be 2 back of CBJ and 3 back of NJD but still with 3 games in hand.

And as far as that Russian offside goal goes, if both teams are playing the puck for a minute+ after the (legitimate) offsides... it's no longer an offsides call.  I'm not sure what the cutoff should be but if neither team, nor the officials notice anything at real time speed & continues playing for a good long while, then the offsides challenges should be negated.

_/that does not excuse the officials from saying nothing happened after the review, as with stop motion speed, the puck 'was' offsides for a fraction of a second/2" or so
_/_/rules need to be fixed

I hate it, too. At best, if the offsides occurred within a few passes of the goal, I'll accept that challenge. But if the defense has time to get set, the offsides wasn't all that impactful.

/offside?
//offsides?
///impactful isn't a word?
