COPS:  We're going to charge you with a second count of Grand Theft Auto.
SUSPECT:  Nah.  You can't do that. You already charged me.  You can't go all double jeopardy on me!
COPS:  Yeah, that's not how double jeopardy works.
SUSPECT:  Shiat.

No one is going to give him credit for at least showing up for his court date?

Most of the time, they don't show up...

It's interesting that for the first car he stole he got a 1st Degree Grand Larceny charge but for this car he only got a 2nd Degree Grand Larceny charge; it must have been a crappy car!

Well you can't say the guy isn't dedicated to his craft. That's a rare trait today.

"Why did you steal another car?"
"To get to court."
"Why didn't you walk?"
"That's for poor people."
"Says the guy who stole ANOTHER car?"
POKER FACE.

If he had only switched to Progressive, he could have saved hundreds by using the Name Your Price Tool.

Some of these stories illustrate a level of stupidity that is just unbelievable.

Fine, a car thief is likely not the smartest person, I get that.  But it's a whole new level of stupid to take a car that you KNOW is stolen, and bring it to a place where there are cops everywhere.

At what point did his brains stop firing properly.

In its day, the Grand Larceny was a pretty good family car. Styling got outdated really quick though and its buyers turned to models like the Burglary or the Home Invasion.

Reminds me of this dude I knew about 25 years ago who would get drunk, steal classic cars, and joyride around in them.

Died wrapped around a tree in a BelAir. Not real surprising.

Something must be done about this before it's too late.   First, we must make sure the climate control and cable channels are adequate where he's going, then we must ensure that no future employer is able to know about this.   We're all equally likely to steal cars.   We must set about where all the cars are self driving and provided by the State.  Driving is not a right, nor is it a privilege , but transportation in a private chauffeured vehicle is a basic Human Right.
