"It's still unclear why the driver, Lamont Henderson, traveled all the way to East St. Louis."

Because he's a big dummy?

CSB time.  A teammate of mine on a beer-league hockey team was a cop on active duty.  We had an important playoff game and he was to be working at the scheduled game time.  In fact he was transferring a prisoner.  So he comes into the rink, with the prisoner, sits him down and hand-cuffs him to the railing, gets his equipment on and plays the game... no repercussions.....

I can't even grasp the logic behind this thinking, the driver had to be working with the inmate

Transport guy from OK to TX, lets stop by St Louis a mere 6 hours THE OTHER WAY.

It certainly wasn't about a casino as KC has one closer.

The transport guard was totally in on this. First, he drives them hundreds of miles in the wrong direction. Second, he has a substantial amount of cash and a phone which the prisoner escaped with. Third, he was conveniently asleep when the escape occurred. This sounds prearranged. I bet someone on the outside bribed the guard to transport and release the prisoner in ESL.

Is this viral marketing for Logan?
Isn't it a bit late.

I mean that guy is clearly the tracker mutant. Maybe he escaped when professor x had his fit in the casino.

I have never been to OK, so the plot thickens further.

As farked up as the private prison crap can be, it can't hold a candle to the stuff that goes on in private prison transport.

This !   Oklahoma is covered in casinos.  I live in north Texas - just a 15 min drive to the state line and I am at the casino.  Why would he go to Indiana to go to a casino?

One of the biggest Indian casinos in the country is at the OK/TX border, near Thackerville, just off of the interstate going towards Dallas.

Get out of jail free cards are not free. But they are available in $10, $50 and $100 chips. Other denominations may be available on request.

That's my guess. Then again, a lot of prispn guards and cops have a gambling monkey on their back. That kind of job or career attracts people who like taking risks. If you are risk-adverse, you become an actuary or an accountant.

That's kind of awesome in a action/comedy cop movie kind of way.

Long time ago, I had a colleague who flew to Vegas for a morning business meeting and he flew in the night before.  I get a call from him that morning and he's like "dude, cover for me, I was up all night gambling and I feel awful. Take this meeting by phone."   Now that I think about it, he was such a gambling degenerate, he probably was A-Okay, and wanted to skip out the meeting so he could gamble some more to make back his losses.

Why do I say losses?  Because this was a guy who told me that he was like 70k in gambling debts by the end of that year.

Although I have to say, this story sounds worse as it involves a criminal and public safety.

It's not just one of the biggest, nor is it one of the biggest Indian casinos.  It is THE biggest casino in the country based on floor space.  They claim to be the biggest casino in the world, but some of those Macau casinos are yuuuuuge.  It's easy to expand when your buildings are literally just pop-up tents.
