(The Hill)   Republicans are funny. They think Trump will read their "set of trade principles"... or care. Trump was/is terrible at business. You think he's magically become good at anything, somehow, by becoming President? Republicans really are funny   ( thehill.com) divider line

They also believe that teachers should be armed and lower taxes means more growth.  That they would believe anything Trump says is a given.

Government imposed barriers to materials, labor and capital are disruptive to modern supply chains and represents liberal central-planning in its worst, most arrogant form

So... open borders then?

They don't really believe that - that's dumb shiat they say so that the other idiots in their team can prove their team loyalty by repeating it. It just so happens there idea also serve the interests of their donors.

The problem is that even if they don't believe it, the facade they present becomes second nature and after a while, it becomes 'well, since everyone thinks I think like that, must be true'. Then they vote and advocate positions in public because it's expected of them, then it's academic if they believe it or not, because what they're thinking isn't what they're doing. What's true is what is done and expected, not what is thought and believed.

Business hates borders. The only reason they support our current immigration policy is because it makes a huge supply of desperate, compliant, disposable low wage workers.

It's telling that back when the President was getting spanked by a porn star or saying Nazis were "good people," no1curr. But come for the money, and suddenly everyone has a farking memo.

Subby misspelled 'stupid' twice in the same headline.

Maybe if you wanted coherent proposals shaped by experience you should have backed the candidate with a decade and a half of experience spread across both the executive and legislative branches rather than the guy who thinks losing a billion dollars in bad real estate deals makes him "smart".

Your only  strict criteria for backing a presidential candidate in 2016 was the person on the republican ticket. You got that. You can kindly STFU and EABOD about any of your newfound concerns beyond that.

I'm not really finding most of this shiat funny. I mean, we're all enjoying making fun of these assholes, but we'd much rather not have a reason to make fun of them.

We'd rather their foibles were of the "a guy threw a shoe at the president during a press conference" or "the president got sick at a state dinner" variety, not the "Holy shiat, these are the dumbest motherfarkers on earth" kind.

fark you, Republicans, for doing this. fark ALL OF YOU. Every single one. You shouldn't be allowed to vote in any election for the next decade.

Republicans are funny.  They think they have principles.
