It's either human laziness (it's too cold outside) or ignoring warning labels (pfft, i'll just open the window)

Jeez, still no power in most of Westchester. Glad I don't live in Yonkers anymore.

I make sensors for a living and my mentor has been trying for 30 years to get generator companies to include a CO sensor. They are not expensive and are needed. But, their lawyers tell them it creates neglect risk. First up against the wall.

It's a farking miracle.

Yeah well... my Commanding Officer once self-destructed a Preadator drone from another operations center while I was in mid flight... the sudden loss of signal is something I needed therapy for... pretty much an eternity.

Yeah, but just until you respawn.

Unless your CO is camping on you, then that sucks.

Magnets and some kind of witchcraft.

I'm sure they had the exhaust fan on.  An exhaust fan is for getting rid of exhaust, right?  Says so right in the name.

Being as it was a multi unit home I would bet they were afraid of it being stolen.

How are you going to tell being in an enclosed space from the wind blowing exhaust towards the sensor?

Should have used a zero emission generator.

An exhaust fan that was not powered by the generator. Even though they flipped the switch to ON.

jiesenPSD: Farkin' magnets, how do they even work??

They don't. It's just a grand conspiracy and all the charged particles in the universe are in on it. It will all be clear once the Grand Conspiracy of Everything is found.

They don't. Magnets are a liberal conspiracy. Kinda like global warming. The bible says nothing about magnets. That right there tells you they can't be real or Godly.

fusillade762: What is this "internal combustion" you speak of? SORCERY, I SAY!

It's *internal* combustion engines they *should* have been using inside. Obviously it was an *external* combustion engine they were using. Those should only be used outside.

neongoats: White Plains. It sounds like such a magical place.

I suppose it is, if you really like one-way streets and ridiculously overpriced luxury malls.

There IS a really good Japanese BBQ place, though. So they've got that going for them.

HAD an acquaintance that hooked up inverters to his truck in the garage.. left the truck running, and the garage closed so no one would steal the truck......

I have a thick link of cable and padlock mine to the truck. Solutions are easy if you're not a lazy idiot.

Hey now, there are many words one can use to describe the White Plains Mall, however 'overpriced' and 'luxury' aren't on the list.
