Sooooo, a grimdark reimagining of Whinnie the Pooh?  A sad, grey, adult Christopher Robin is trapped in a dead-end job, haunted by memories of a tormented bear, in search of his long lost "Hunny."

Yes. It definitely has some of the same plot points. Stressed out adult rediscovers hallucinates imaginary childhood friends.

If I caught everything correctly, back when they first floated a Trainspotting sequel, McGregor was a huge star and the whole thing got held up because he didn't really want to do it.

Fast forward to later, when he suddenly was interested, but by then he had to wait on Robert Carlyle and Johnny Lee Miller's schedules instead...

I like all 3 of them, but it is funny how times change.

Plus....

Chris O'Dowd as Tigger
Toby Jones as Owl
Peter Capaldi as Rabbit
Brad Garett as Eeyore

I, for one, am gleefully anticipating the inevitable 'The Thick Of It'/Rabbit mash-ups.

The only thing I'm upset about is Peter 'Optimus Prime' Cullen no longer voicing Eeyore.

Was that trailer for the Kenobi film real or someone's joke?

Trainspotting 2 electric boogaloo wasn't that bad. It was more a film about accepting sadness or  something.

Saw it last week.  Pretty good, but it's less about CR Milne and more about AA Milne, post-WWI, and the process of how the stories came to be, and the arc of the Milne family in general.  It definitely deals with the toll that the sudden celebrity had on CR Milne and the aftermath of all that, but if pressed, I'd say that AA Milne was the "main character" of the movie.
