I knew this girl Becky.  She used to be a happy, popular girl until one night, she drank some dihydrogen monoxide at a party.  She died instantly.  Don't end up like Becky.

Remember how a mysterious death planet was going to smash into our planet last September, killing us all?

No, but I remember the plot of Moonraker.  This sounds about as plausible.

What's worse is the mass delusion experienced by 90% of the world. They call it incredibly devious things like: "reality", "real life", "normality", "sanity", when IRL it's actually a bunch of rape, murder, robbery, hatred, war, etc.

Modern society is a breeding ground for pathological mindf*ckery. Everyone's a psychopath in one form or another.

If this were true, you wouldn't have a point of reference to stand outside and call it pathological. If everybody around you seems to be insane, you can either (1) go and find a community of sane people, proving that what seems insane to you is not normal, or (2) accept that it's you that's insane. Of course, the community of like-minded people might be Alex Jones fans or something...

I suppose I could have just written "user name checks out".

Counterpoint: 'I swear I am the only one who is sane on this planet' - Everyone on the planet.

No, I take it back. Of course not everyone thinks they are sane. Just most people. Especially from their own perspective, and quite often despite them actually having a mental disorder.

One man's normal is another man's batguano (if that even is it's real name)

The only reliable way one can identify one's own insanity is by observing that everyone around you appears insane and deducing that it is an illusion.

The problem is, if you are insecure, consciously or subconsciously, about your mental health, it can lead to seeking out people who are unbalanced, in order to reassure yourself that you're better off than them.

When you lose sight of whether you're nuts or ensconced in a community of nuts, it's time to take a break from your current environs, such as Fark.

Although, I will say that putting people on Ignore can help too - one thing that happens is the toxic people who post in every thread can make you lose sight of all the others.

It's been used a bunch in fiction, but I think the best usage of the Nibiru mythos is still Scooby Doo: Mystery Inc.

I was watching a show called "How the world ends" or something like that and one of the episodes was about Nibiru and had a bunch of crazy people that believe in it.

Apparently their thing is to take old floppy disks apart and put the disk part in front of their camera lens and take pictures towards the sun. Supposedly Nibiru exits in the ultraviolet spectrum which is why you can't see it with the naked eye but the old floppy is like a Nibiru filter. I guess the regular ultraviolet filters you can buy for cameras don't work because the government or something.

They should get together with the chemtrail vinegar lady. They sound perfect for each other

Melancholia. I haven't seen it, so can't comment on whether it's good or bad, but it does seem to divide viewers like marmite.
