(Chicago Sun-Times)   Dolphins commit to Ryan Tannehill as their 2018 quarterback, leaving respected free agent Jay Cutler without a solid job lined up. You know, the Bears could use a good backup QB. Just saying   ( chicago.suntimes.com) divider line

All the free agent backup QBs will wind up in Houston, where we turn the merely good into crap.

As a Packers fan, I would wholly support Cutler being a Bear again.

Blow it out your ass, subby.

That was always the plan.  Cutler was just a placeholder that they thought may do something good last year because of his relationship with Gase.

I don't really get all the Jay Cutler hate. I admire a guy who doesn't give a fark and doesn't repeat all the stupid football cliches every time he's in front of a camera.

Jay, what are your thoughts on your options in free agency?

"Dooooooooon't caaaaaaare"

Thanks, Jay.

Everyone knew he was just there for shiats and giggles last year noone was expecting him to do anything

You know how I know you are not a fan of the Broncos or Bears?

Cutler could always sign on with the Patriots and be Brady's new fluffer.

Not with his smoking habit.

Lifelong Dolphins fan and Tannehill sucks. No other organization would spend that long 'developing' a QB like Miami has.
2018 will be a bust for Miami, as always.

Subby must have forgotten the Bears still gave Sanchez under contract

As bad as he is remembered being during his time with the Bears, he pretty re-wrote the teams qb record book. The team is known for defense. Running backs. QBs? Not so much.

Smarted. 9-7 and a wc round exit is the best case scenario, in my view. He's been in the league long enough to show who he is.

Hope we are wrong!

Denver has an opening, too.

Yeah, but not for $10 mil+.
I am pretty sure Sanchez is veteran minimum.

I'm a fan of Denver. He wasn't ready to be the starter when he was thrown in, and then got shafted by McDouchebag. Can't hate the guy for what happened there.

It'd be one thing if he did those things and won championships. But he also didn't give a fark about throwing interceptions or looking remotely interested in the success of his teammates, won zero championships and had his most emblematic pouty moment on the biggest stage (while losing the NFC Championship Game to his team's biggest rivals).

When your rival's fans love you for how many games you lose to them, something's amiss.

I think he gets a lot of unnecessary stick about his attitude. Watching him play, he obviously cares about his performance, but he's just stoic when his helmet is off.

My point is that he was mediocre at best, and didn't come up big when needed. Starter calibur, sure, but a level below even Flacco.

These have nothing to do with his attitude. These are mostly just bad passes.

Every interception that #Bears QB Jay Cutler has thrown against the #Packers

I don't know. Cutler seems pretty versatile. Look at how he totally sells the wildcat on this play (he's at the bottom of the screen)

I like how he lures the Saints' defender into a false sense of security by putting his hands on his hips, then showing absolutely no interest in being involved in the play... probably because he knew it was a run anyway. The Saints guy moved thinking that "This guy ain't gonna do shiat!" Then he closed the deal by not doing shiat! But he was open and uncovered! Probably would've been a good gain, that is as long as he didn't Brady the catch.

He was also a petulant, whiny b*tch, at least in Denver.
