No sad tag?

I like Ed Hochuli.  I will miss him.

Awww. Now who will explain just how exactly the offensive lineman committed holding in detail?

Well, it's about damn time. It's been 27 years since this tragedy occurred.

Hey. that's funny. Two years ago I scoffed at people who said they weren't going to watch the NFL anymore. Last season I watched less than an hour of the entire season and my team was pretty good. I didn't plan to not watch, I just didn't. It certainly had nothing to do with politics or protests.

I actually didn't either, originally.  Life just got in the way.  A new job that has me traveling ~250 days/year, then being home only on weekends meant I had to try to do a week's worth of stuff at home in two days meant not having time to watch TV at all, much less NFL games.  However, the shenanigans across the board for the last year or so isn't motivating me to find the time, either...

First time I skipped the Superb Owl since I was a kid. Most of the playoffs too.

Good.  It was getting to be ridiculous and I couldn't stand watching games he was reffing. He would find any opportunity to throw the flag, even when there was no penalty, then he'd explain for five minutes why he picked up the flag.

sad day

great headline though.

Thanks for gifting Denver a home win over the Chargers in 2008, Hoch. We'll miss you. :-(

I used to go to Lifetime Fitness in Tempe.  I'd see him every now and then.  I hope you're sitting down because this may shock you, but.....He *only* did arms and chest.

one time, i was driving there 2-3 days after Donovan McNabb had just lost a playoff game, and on the drive to the gym the sports radio guys were like , "was that McNabb's last game as an Eagle?" (or whatever team he was on.)  I go to the gym, hit the treadmills to warm up......Donovan McNabb is on a treadmill 10" away.  I was like , "uhhh.....they....were just.....talking about you?"  every few minutes someone would go over and meet him.  i just let him be.

then, once I was warmed up, I went  to the weight area, and Hochuli is there.  I'm like "uhhh....does this violate some NFL rule?  do I need to call Goodell?"  it was weird.

/Same gym, wife texts me one day:  "OMG Ice T and CoCo were at the gym today!!! I did Zumba with CoCo. Her butt is UNREAL. And T was looking fly as hell in the white Nikes!"

The article also describes Jeff Triplette retiring, which deserves the spiffy tag. So the two cancel each other out and we get a plain old PSA tag.

Yes, but Subby's headline implied that all he cared about was Ed.  Jeff Triplette can DIAF.
