Judging from these pics, I'm pretty sure I could be a 10 in Britain.  Sure, I'm a 3 here, but somehow the exchange rate across the pond converts me to Brad Pitt.

/Unfortunately, it also converts my dollars to pounds, and lord knows I don't need anymore of those.

Needs to be said that entomology is extremely cool and interesting. I've recently become a big fan of the 'Ask an Entomologist' crew:

Link to their blog
facebook page
Twitter, where I first became a fan because of this fascinating thread in which they gently slap down an axe-grinding conservative

I think I've personally known about five people who followed their childhood ambition through to a high level. I envy that.

Don't worry about them. Most people don't know there are different types of models and that fashion runway models are rarely what regular people find attractive. The point of runway models is to be a walking coat rack for whatever clothes they're trying to sell - the point is to look at the clothes, not the model, which is why they are mainly scouted for height and proportions rather than looks, meaning they could look freaky to most folks. The ones that are "hot" are mainly the Supermodels, who have the perfect proportions as well attractive features.

This.  When Jantzen Swimwear was based here, they regularly advertised in the want ads for models, with the stipulation that they were "perfect size 2/4/6/whatever".  Pretty much a commercial interest - they needed to see what their ladies' swimsuits looked like on a person.

I agree. I tended to prefer Lynda Carter in her mild-mannered Diana Prince guise to the Wonder Woman outfit.
