robot is a machine-especially one programmable by a computer- capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically.[2] Robots can be guided by an external control device or the control may be embedded within.

When I think of a robot, as defined above, is more of the moving sort. But a self monitoring watering system is a automatic system, albeit a boring one.  Well, at least it's a start and gets the kids to think.

If you're not doing something like this on your own (regardless of your gender), you really shouldn't be going into STEM.

Somebody has to be the human sacrifice that actually goes into STEM, so that the people who went into gender studies are satisfied with the numbers.

Shattering the stereotype that girls don't want to do technology stuff with flowers. How quaint.

Katie Shaw, a 14-year-old from Westport Island, looked excited but a little skeptical as she got to work loosening up her clay.
"My twin brother told me, 'you don't know anything about electronics,'" she confided to the group

Um, if you have electronics in your clay then you're doing it wrong.

Give them a break. The girl in the purple shirt is sciencing as hard as she can. She's also about to learn how a soldiering pencil works.

I know, those poor people are ruining perfectly good motherboards with soldering irons.

Those are beautiful. I love their technique. Especially the girl in the purple shirt.

So, you've seen the memes featuring the girl in purple, but you can look at the others doing the exact same thing.

It's really really important that at least 50% of computer programmers and engineers be female.  If the percentage were more than that, it would be totally fine, but less than that is completely unacceptable.

If they're soldiering weapons... They're switched off: thus harmless. You can tell because the display is dark. And also, they're not screaming in abject burning pain.

Please note, the girl in purple is way haut and needs to have her (inevitable) wounds loving soothed with consensual and curative, gentle and very respective, licking.
