Yea, I was gonna go with 'clusterf*ck'

Or 'fustercluck'

At this point, I'd characterize the Trump presidency more like the Centralia mine fire.  It just keeps on burning and spreading unchecked, and if it isn't dealt with, it will eventually consume the whole damn place.

I'm pretty sure "clusterfark" was already a word, subby.

This is just another mean-spirited attack by the literate elites of this country on Donald Trump and, by proxy the good, anti-literate, Real Americans who support him.

It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear.

Our situation is more like a dumpster on fire that falls from a ledge, slams into another dumpster on a lower ledge, now they're both engulfed, and then the second ledge slowly starts to tilt, with an ominous groaning sound, bits of flaming wreckage slide off to the ground below, and then the dumpsters finally fall, onto a naplam storage tank.

A very rotund figure waddles out of the flames saying, "No chaos no chaos you're the chaos."

Next day: "Look, the dumpster fire has already spoken on that. I don't have anything to add."

If we just live in denial for a few decades the government will pay to relocate us. From Canada we can point at the holdouts as they cry about mineral rights (yeah, the minerals that are burning below their feet) and laugh like Nelson.

/Somehow I don't think it's going to work out that way.

How about the Centralia mine fire... the underground coal fire that has been going on since 1962?  Toxic, long lasting, and consequences for generations.

i'm hoping there will be at least twenty pages for those words beginning 'c*nt' in forty years, because that might mean we've made it that far and have been able to reflect properly upon this period

/although at this stage i'll settle for there being genuine dictionaries published independently of the government in forty years, whether I'm alive to read them or not

Straight Outta Wells Branch: Well, that's perfectly cromulent.

Merriam-Webster just added embiggen as a word yesterday.

Still no cromulent, though Dictionary.com and Wiktionary both have it already (with opposing definitions.)

We could change the name of the town to Trumpton, or Trumpville. That'll probably get some tourism going.

Or possibly the Bridgeton landfill fire that is slowly smoldering its way over to a pile of nuclear waste left over from the Manhattan project.

Bridgeton landfill fire.

I think if the midterms don't go the democrats way then we will be at that point. I'm still hoping that Mueller will get to the end of this before that happens, or, more likely, the administration will implode like that dude did yesterday.

Already had "fubar".

I think of the shrieking void in the White House and his minions as more like a plane crash into a dumpster fire on the deck of a sinking ship.

But I appreciate Merriam-Webster's acknowledgment of "dumpster fire." It is descriptive.

One thing I'm pretty sure of. All his top aides have told him, or will tell him, if necessary, "If you're thinking about doing any more live interviews on national TV, my resignation takes effect the instant you hit the airwaves. Do not, do not, do notagree to do any live interviews under any circumstances."

Because Shiathole would probably make Nunberg look like the voice of restraint at this point.

Sure would be glorious to watch though. I want to see him incriminate himself fifteen different ways, realize what he's done, and then just halt, popeyed, mouth opening and closing, no words coming out, tiny fingers trying to make all of his usual stupid gestures but just flopping around like limp cocktail weenies. His eyes shift from one person to another, sweat springs out on his brow, and then he suddenly plunges backward out of his chair.

The camera follows him to the floor and he finally croaks out, "Corn Nuts!" before he lapses into unconsciousness.

Now that would be must-see TV.

If today's presser with the Swedish PM is any indication, don't hold your breath. If anything, he doubles down on the rhetoric.
