Eels. Not Morays. The slimey farmers they use in cheap sushi. God that would be gross.

Chinchillas.

We have two, and they really should have been named Pinky and the Brain.  They're nocturnal, have opposable thumbs, and *love* to chew Cat6 cable.

Ours also love to watch World Series of Poker on TV.

Gila monsters are scary enough in life size when you happen upon them on a hike in the desert.

I'd go with child of the earth / Jerusalem cricket.

The bongos for their stampede sound. Priceless.

I've always felt urban living would be a lot better if there were large trapdoor spiders under random manhole covers.

Sparrows. Those aggressive little motherfarkers can chase away squirrels, pigeons, crows, and dogs 10x their size over a freaking morsel of bread. Imagine what a giant one could do. You wouldn't be safe in a tank.

The good news is scaled up to large enough it would harm me, it would probably collapse under its own weight.

Depends on what kind of movie we're making. Is it a scary, end of the world, help-we're-being-overrun kind of movie? Then I'll go with insects, all of them.

I am still fairly convinced that Pikachu is a chinchilla painted yellow and connected to a battery.
