I've always believed there is a causal relationship between tea-bagging and crabs.

If there's no grass the crabs have to hide in the mud.

"Among the bay's defenders, in fact, there's a lot of concern at the moment, because the Trump administration is proposing to cut federal funding for the Chesapeake Bay cleanup by 90 percent."

There's nothing better than going down and having a huge spread of crabs and creamy tartar sauce.

So grass is required before crabs can appear. Hm.

The long-awaited recovery depends on efforts by farmers to prevent nutrients from polluting the giant estuary.

Again, farming runoff causes problems. Algae blooms etc.

The single issue environmental cult that has taken over in the last 30 years has done a very good job in convincing people that all you need to do for the environment is turn down your AC/heating and don't drive an SUV.

So now we have a lot of problems caused more directly where turning down your thermostat will not fix them.

"The time has come," the Walrus said, "To talk of many things: Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax-- Of cabbages--and kings-- Not just why the sea is boiling hot-- And whether pigs have wings."

And now it seems it might be time to talk about farming runoff, and people shooting more polar bears than are killed through starvation, and deforestation of the Amazon etc etc etc
