Girls are getting into abstract analysis
Would like to make that intuitive leap
They're making plans that have far-reaching effects

And the boys say, "What do you mean?"

Oh, and by the way, due to men's much greater taste for risk, Wall Street's being a boy's club costs investors untold billions every year.

Can we go to Wall Street, like, the actual street, and set up a giant guillotine? Like, it doesn't have to be functional or anything, it can just be a model. I just want those bastards to see it every day and be reminded what's in store for them if they push their labor class too far.

They'd create some kind of mortgage-backed subordinate debentures to bid up the price of who gets to pull the lever, use that market cap to buy the thing and sell it to Duterte to make his drug dealer hunt more frightening.

I kept reading that article for about 20 minutes until I had to call it quits. That sounds about right.

A co worker made a good point. To us older folks #metoo translates to pound me too

Methinks "don't#me" would make a bigger impact

They are all predators incubated in the confines of ruthlessness regardless of gender.  I know some of them are good people at heart. But when it comes to "the firm" nothing else matters.

In Hollywood, the movement works because you can shame those actors and shame companies who employ them.

On Wall Street, there is allusions or illusions of propriety.  The only thing that matter is the bottom line.  You ain't gonna shame anyone there for acting like an a-hole.

To be fair, having known more than a couple women who worked on Wall Street, it's pretty much mutual. You don't get into the game unless you're interested in a license to steal.

There's also another reason there's no #MeToo in Wall Street, it's because the women there aren't much (if any) better than the guys at giving *ahem* special attention to their underlings.

different field, but similar sentiment.  at my level of management/level of input there are 2 men and 5 women with all of us sharing the same supervisor, who is another women.  So two to six gender split when we all meet to discuss general plans.

I have heard all types of sexist comments from the more "elders" of the group from "you want the job done right, then give it to a woman" to "...of course they decided that, they are all men."  I keep quiet, but keep a tally.

being a male myself watching my own mother crash into the glass ceiling many times in her own career, it was illuminating to see women of her generation devolve into similar comments, sentiments and stances once they were in a dominate position.

long story short; people suck of each gender.  power corrupts.

It attracts by nature the worst people, rewards them with obscene amounts of money, and then we're supposed to be surprised that they behave badly?  What a shocker.

I always love these articles...as if men never face the same bullshiat from other men.

mrsleep: I always love these articles...as if men never face the same bullshiat from other men.

They never said that, the article just wasnt about that.

Go read articles about that if that is your concern. Or write it if there arent any.

Why you feel an article about lower reportimg rates of female sexual assault in the finance industry needs to also talk about men, I have no farking clue.

If you feel left out and oppressed because every single issue isn't about men, I'm sorry.
