Yup, there's nothing like being by a lake enjoying nature's splendor (a la On Golden Pond) only to have the moment completely shattered by a asshole bombing by on a jet-ski   - unless it's a topless Helen Mirren.

I was on The Price is Right and won $7,000 playing Plinko (plus some other prizes).

/Got out of paying taxes because I was still a teenager and therefor a dependent.

kleenex, band-aid, coke....they're all jet skis now...even the ones that aren't "Jet Ski".

"personal watercraft" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue

I'm right there with you...for that kind of coin you could pick up an actual boat.  At least then you could take more than one or two people and have a little room to move around.

I'm thinking there's a niche here - someone who's more comfortable with this sort of thing (smaller, more maneuverable) than they are with a boat. I *know* I'm not comfortable with a boat, but I might consider something like this...

Oh no doubt.  They are very popular around here. But I'm just not in that demographic. Rented one before and it was fun to ride for awhile, but got bored riding around by myself.

I'm not into boats and motorcycles, but I could definitely see myself having a couple hours fun on a boatercycle (jetski).  maybe i'll rent one if I can ever afford another vacation

That's a really hard book to put on the screen, so much internal dialog and narration.
