Glad to see another country slowly bucking against the sloppy centralization of power that is the EU.

It's okay.

This country survived Caligula and the Crisis of the Third Century, I'm sure it can survive this.

Not sure if joking, however I find a coherent Europe better for my personal well-being than being 28 uncoordinated countries that don't join forces against such friendly neighbors like the USA, Russia or China. It's pretty clear where hostility towards the European union is coming from...

I'd like to see a grand coalition between M5S and Lega. But we'll see what happens.

What's the deal with five star?  Is that a Bowie thing?  Did someone's spirit rise a meter, then bravely stand aside?  Or is it more a matter of how many times angels fall, and those that lie instead of talking tall?

Maybe he figures it goes without saying?

"Both sides are bad" has always kind of been the governing principle of Italian politics.

There haven't been only two sides since the 70s. Fortunately.

Looks like it'll be Lega+M5S or Lega+FI.

Almost every election story mentions that it will be "one more year" before Berlusconi is eligible to run again. So, yeah, I see it probably happening again.

Well, I never "both parties".

Spectrums have sides.

Unless they're horseshoes.

H: Has your party got any policies?

I: Oh yes, certainly! We're for the compulsory serving of asparagus at break-
fast, free corsets for the under-fives, and the abolition of slavery.

H: Now, you see, many moderate people would respect your stand on asparagus,
but what about this extremist nonsense about abolishing slavery?

The Ministry of Interior has estimated an overall turnout of 73.94%. This is low by Italian standards - sinking lower than the 2013 election, which had a turnout of 75%.

Oh please, you want to see a REAL low vote turnout? We beat that EVERY TIME.
