Why does he protest America?

Good for him.

BalugaJoe: Why does he protest America?

Because that's how you make it better.

I'd make reviving Scotchy Scotch Scotch part of his bail conditions.

He's got a point. Military jets are horrible, screeching things. Like SJWs. Airliners sound like rolling marbles on a tray, military jets sound like someone dragging a metal filing cabinet on concrete.

If he will just make Little Witch Macadamia a real thing, all can be forgiven.

But they already fly military jets out of there:

They fly F-16C Falcons out of Burlington International, so it's not like this is a facility that doesn't already have fighter aircraft flying there.

Hell, go look on Google Earth.  At the Air National Guard base on the north side of the runway, I count at least 8 F-16's out on the apron.

I dated a girl At St. Michael's College back in the early 90's.  St Mike's is 1/4 mile from the end of the runway. I used to park at the end and watch the F16's take off and land.

Point being that the 'Green Mountain Boys' have been the first intercept in the northeast for a very long time now.  All the new NIMBYs are welcome to absorb the first strike scenario.

csb - A guy named Dean Martin (not that one) used to own and fly a Mig-21 out of Burlington International.... now that Farker was LOUD.

I remember reading an article about that.  The take-away I got from it was that the MiG-21 didn't have enough fuel for him to be put in a holding pattern or to get a wave-off from the tower:  When he was coming into to land, he was coming in to land, and that was that.
