I wonder if he's playing it on his tour.  I guess I'll find out in a couple days. I'm going to an Emo Phillips show Saturday and Al's supposed to do some songs there.

His recent "Please Don't Nuke Us North Korea" is another brilliant, timely song.

A polka about Hamilton? Does Hamilton have a musical genre named after him? How about a polka for the Napoleon of the Stump?

Now I've got that Barry Mitchell song stuck in my head. And it's late at night, I'm wide awake, and I'm not wearing pants!

I just saw "Hamilton" last Saturday and it was the best show I've ever seen. Had to buy the tickets a year and a half in advance.

Yeah, if you don't live in NYC or Chicago, the only ways to get tickets are to be really well connected or to buy your tickets way in advance and make a special trip to one of those places.

/Think I heard something about an LA show as well
//Touring tickets will probably all go to the well-connected

Yeah, pretty much what you said. The credit goes to my sister-in-law who just hung out online waiting for tickets to be released.

My wife works in ticketing with one of the upcoming tour sites. Hamilton has an army working on making sure the public has as much access as possible. They've been negotiating the particulars for months to make sure that subscribers are able to get some tickets, but that a substantial amount are available to the general public. And they are basically at war to keep the resellers from getting them. You still need a lot of luck to get the tickets because demand is so high but, more than most events, the playing field is level(ish)

I have friends who are subscribers to the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.  If they had not been willing to use their opportunity to get a measly 2 extra tickets to Hamilton I would not be going in two weeks.  I am looking forward to it.

As usual, Al brilliantly handles the medley.

For the touring production, you basically have to buy season tickets from the previous year AND the current year to get the tickets.  The plus side is that there will be lots of cheap tickets available on the secondary market to shows NOT named Hamilton.

That's good. I randomly had the thought, "Nobody's seen Hamilton, it's too popular!"
