Again? Hasn't most of this season been more about interpersonal drama and bullshiat than external threat? I mean sure there was the big ol bomb, but that's almost been in the background.

Unless there is a huge improvement towards the end of this season, or I hear something amazing about the villain for next season, I'm out after the finale this year.  Arrow has just become a slog that I barely even get to before the next episode airs.  Oliver's son sure as hell doesn't help things either.

Probably a good idea at this point.  Just handle each season as a finale and if they get another season to do another story arc, great.  I'd rather that then to end up with a cliffhanger for the series like Agent Carter got.

Also, since we're still at T-minus 11:30 for Arrow, I'ma use this space to gripe about Flash a little bit.

DeVoe is really bugging me.  I mean, he's supposed to be super-duper smart, and have planned all this stuff out in advance - he triggered the Bus Metas because they would have a combination of abilities he needs to achieve his goal.  But he doesn't know who they are?  I mean, he should have known who they were before Barry got yanked outta the Speedforce. But apparently he doesn't know their identities any more than Team Flash does, and either he's magically identifying them in the same order as Team Flash, or he's not identifying them at all and waiting for Team Flash to do so and just scavenging the details from his surveillance of them.  Which doesn't seem like the work of a supergenius.

Of course, I often have these sorts complaints about characters that are supposed to be super-smart, because they're generally written by writers who themselves are not.

And, I will say I can assume in-story reasons for why he's done some of the things he's done - like I figure he hasn't body-stolen Ralph because he's saving Ralph for last, because Ralph's plasticity and durability may stop the degradation of his cells; Similarly, he presumably hasn't taken Flash himself because Flash's superspeed metabolism would cause him to deteriorate pretty much immediately.  (Heck, that might be a way for Flash to defeat him - make a time duplicate and trick DeVoe into taking that body somehow, and he dissolves into sludge in seconds)

But whose power was it that let him see Cisco was vibing him, and how did he zap Cisco?  Is that just supposed to be his own awesome mental powers?

Agreed.  Even if it's definitely coming back, I'd rather see a satisfying finale.  I'm tired of contrived cliffhangers.

If the two teams start a physical battle, that'll be new.

I am wondering about the theme of the season.  Is this the season long redemption of Black Siren?  With Kadan James dead, we don't seem to have a real Big Bad this year.  It's sounds like it's turning into Civil War, with Black Siren as Bucky Barnes.  Of course, we still have the FBI ready to send Oliver to jail.. and it seems they know everything.

Granted, even having Black Siren is a way to keep Katie Cassidy on the show, after they wrote Laurel into such a dead end that they had to kill her off.

Not sure about how he saw Cisco in vibe form, but the zapping was his absorbed technology influencing powers farking with Cisco's gloves, I think.

I'm sure Disney will insist on Marvel being on in some capacity.  If Inhumans hadn't been a disaster, I'm certain it would have replaced AoS after this season.

Arrow has always been on the bubble for me but the boxing glove arrow and Barry Allen saved it. Now I watch just cuz it's the fourth corner of the Arrowverse.

Good solid episode of Gotham but as usual not enough Harvey. Pretty good Arrow too. Kinda weird seeing an alcoholic father figure talking to Siren about her daddy issues. Took me out of the show for a minute.

/last few episodes of agents still up on abc

You mean the ones that sold him out to the FBI?
They go through side kicks too quick on arrow they should bring back arsenal.

Some nice Quentin/Laurel moments.. but after this Civil War, things won't be forgiven.  Curtis hacking the chip in John's arm was particularly dirty.  Rene seems to be on the injured list.. and 'recovering outside Star City' usually means it's permanent.

So, no money, dirty cops planning on taking Oliver out legally, and that ending part.. is Evil Laurel going public as Laurel, to pretend to be her Earth1 self to the public?  Ballsy move.

2018-03-02 11:16:16 AM
So why the hell did Curtis lay all that guilt on Dinah right when she was about to achieve the goal they had been working towards as a team basically ever since Laurel 2 killed Vigilante? He was helping her all along while she was very clear about her intentions to kill Laurel 2 out of vengeance. Plus, he had to have seen and done nothing about Dinah straight up assaulting Quentin, who had treated her like a daughter and wasn't even putting up the slightest resistance, with a freaking staff across the face, twice.

On another note, I'm not sure how I feel about Oliver's son's only reason for existing being that Oliver needs to have extra conflict and drama added to every situation. I mean, I'm glad that's not Felicity's job any longer, but come on.

It seems like every season it's someone's job to be irrationally awful to Oliver and otherwise useless. First it was Thea, then it was Felicity, then it was William, but now it's Dinah who apparently has both her teammates by the balls, because they do whatever she growls at them to do, and they always back her plays even when they've expressed discomfort with them.

I really hate Dinah. I'm not fond of the other two, either, which sucks because Curtis started out cool, but now he's being just as much of a jerk as his teammates who all ended up where they are because of choices THEY made, not because of Oliver or Team Arrow.

This show is depressing now.
