Not "every sci-fi fan" Subby...only the 18 that paid for CBS All-Access to watch that crappy Star Trek Discovery show.

First episode:  Attack your captain and imprison her because you disagreed with her (and get your crew killed in the process)

Last episode:  Gee, have a medal and we'll call it all good.

You can't call them "tardigrades" anymore.  The correct term is "delayedgrades".

Pretty sure those eggs resemble the egg pods found on the crashed spaceship in Alien. Might have been before your time, or you might have been raised in Siberia, but a few more than 18% of SF fans know that shape.

A nuclear blast wouldn't even kill them. That's how resilient they are.

In what godforsaken circle of hell are these things considered "adorable"?

The 7th, where sodomites go for turning the fruitful barren, and userers for turning the barren fruitful.

/Because of how they breed, you see.

Tardigrades deserve much better than to be compared to the shrieking void in the White House. They've been around for over 500 million years. They deserve respect. He deserves none.

Trust me, not before my time - but I keyed off the tardigrade portion of the headline, not the egg portion.  Plus I got to take a shot at CBS All Access...

The tardigrades he found there could survive and reproduce in a laboratory environment, which is very rare for these creatures, he said.

Burn the lab.

One of these days the signal will come, and we'll all wake to find that bear-sized tardigrades have eaten the cat and have gnawed away one corner of the house.

I know some Trekkies are pretty butthurt about the new show, but what does it say about your fandom when you start slamming it when neither the headline or the article has anything to do about it?

/also if you know it has tardigrades, you've been watching it anyway

What size were they? Tardigrade A? Tardigrade AA?
