I use to have a copy. Whenever insomnia was pestering me, I would pull it off the shelf. 3 pages, max, I was out like a light.

It contains just under a hundred wallpaper samples, each of which is saturated with potentially dangerous levels of arsenic.

Ah, so that explains the class-action lawsuit from tasters of Willy Wonka's wallpaper. Ironically it was the suspicious "snozzberry" flavor all along.

I assume the last sentence in that book is "GOTO Page 1.", otherwise it's false advertising.

"Either this wallpaper goes, or I do." -- Napoleon Buonaparte on his death bed.

I have read The King in Yellow. And some versions of the Necronomicon also.

Great stuff. Eldritch. Full of squamous people.

Speaking of Terry Pratchett, his novels involve several neat books, including the Telenecronomicon, a genuine book of the dead and their numbers.

I have a number of books that are mentioned in literature, including one from Terry Pratchett's Discworld, "Where is my Cow?", the book that Sam Vynes rushes home to read to his son every night without fail.

I also have some Radioactive Man comic books.

These are called literary escapes, because they are books or things which have escaped from the pages of literature. Literature is a conversation with the living and the dead and the totally made-up and imaginary. I love escapes. They are great fun.

Earnest Scribbler is in one of my favourite MPFC episodes, which is named "Whither Canada?"

No title could be more perfect, no writer's name more approrpriate and meaningful.

Or did I get that wrong? Maybe it is called the Necronomitelecon. Hard to say without cheating with a GIS. Anyhoo it is something.
