You are really having trouble grasping the basics of a multiverse, Jerry.

I'm too busy carpin' all those diems to care.

Now that one can actually get the sauce, no one is going to care.

Wouldn't it be easier to find a universe where the sauce stayed on the menu?

Ever think about how confusing that scene would have been IRL? Gramps has just trashed the government, but is now going on some rant about a dipping sauce from before you were born, as if you knew what he was going on about.

Because everything else that happens in Rick and Morty would make perfect sense in relation life.

J.R. 'Bob' Chinaski: when do we get McDonald's to bring back their honey mustard?

6 months after Rick and Morty does a bit about it.  But only for 1 day and in limited quantities.

Then about 4 months later if that goes well in slightly larger quantities.

Available in Canada?

The company miscalculated demand for the sauce in October 2017, when it played into a popular Rick and Morty joke and reproduced a 20-year old sauce, causing havoc

Yeah I remember this. Havoc caused by 20 something hipsters who were pretending they knew and loved the sauce and it was the greatest thing of all time even though they either weren't born or weren't even eating solid food when it first came out.

If they did have it. They were probably too young to remember.

I don't farking get this obsession with this sauce.i had it in 1997. It was shiat then, it's shiat now. Like, people standing in lines fighting over it on the one day limited release, what the fark is wrong with you?

Maybe the sauce is just an allegory, an example of a dimension with distinct differences in which Rick is desperately looking for in order to get home to, or running away from.  A reality where the Chicago Cubs actually won the Series in 2015, where Crystal Pepsi was considered a success, and Milli Vanilli actually recorded their own songs.  The literal presence and accessibility of the dipping sauce signifies nothing in the grand canon.

I'm a fan of Rick and Morty. I didn't hang out at Mcd's crying about sauce.
I enjoy the show, recommend it to people I feel might like it.

Rick and Morty is awesome.

I couldn't give two farks about some damned sugary dipping sauce.

I do, however, suddenly have a craving for McNuggets.

wildcardjack: Wouldn't it be easier to find a universe where the sauce stayed on the menu?

This was a topic of conversation in my engineering circle. We have come to a conclusion. Somehow, against what would appear to be all probability, McDonald's Szechuan sauce in all universes where it existed stopped producing it. It is infinitely improbable, but it clearly happened or Rick would have at least used the Council of Ricks to find a single universe that did have one. Hell, this guy knew about the universe where humans and spiders were in a perpetual war, BUT HAD THE BEST F*CKING ICE CREAM ANYWHERE! And yet he was on a quest to find the Schezuan sauce.

/In the infinite universes, the one infinitely improbable event just *had* to happen at McDonalds...

Maybe he destroyed the universe that stocked the sauce?

The one around here has it. They sometimes mistakenly toss it in instead of the hot mustard that I like.

Which is kind of the point - why the hell is someone who never had it so desperate to have a crappy sugar-sauce they've never tasted before that they'd physically fight over it?

Supposedly, the inclusion into the show about it was a giant in-joke featuring Dan Harmon. He would apparently go on Rick-like rants about how great that sauce was, so they put it in the show, hoping to never hear about it again.
Then the moron fans (a subset of the R&M fans who should not be allowed to watch the show without their mommies sitting next to them to explain that Rick is not a hero, nor should they emulate) went moron and did moron things in a sad attempt to go viral.

I didn't really want the sauce, but your constant assertions that it's crap make me think it's probably worth punching at least some of the nay sayers in this thread, if only because they're advocating murder over watching a TV show. The sauce is superfluous to that.
