It's been 4 months since the Vegas shooting. FOUR MONTHS. If this administration doesn't understand the facts by now they either never will or never want to.

Seek a marriage counselor with a gun-safe-zone office.

We're only a few days out from the latest massacre. All the facts aren't known, so it's way too soon to discuss these things.

That's a good point. The killer is white, so we shouldn't rush to judgement.

Maybe in another 100 years or so.

I just did a quick search for "cases of police militarization" and came up with this article.
I notice that all four "shocking cases" coincidentally occurred during Obama's administration.

And to be clear, yes, the guns are for killing farkers no matter where they be.  In political office, in a uniform or shooting up a school.

I notice that the conversation is muted when we have automated filters replace our words.  The effect of the words is changed.  Its too bad we can't just speak frankly these days.

stoli n coke: If this is your first business instinct after 17 children are gunned down, you are a damaged person.

The fact that children being gunned down is politicised and made capable of creating 'sides' that can then be turned into a selling opportunity for a store is the proximate cause here. So, in other words, gun control in the wake of a tragedy shouldn't be a partisan issue, yet here we are.

The ad copy pretty much writes itself;
"Hey kids, are you tired of being picked on? We have a plan to show all those bastards that you matter."  Or,
"Hey Seniors, want to plan a senior prank that will be remembered for all time? Buy a bump stock or three."

As a gun owner, I have come to regard the NRA, and some in the firearms industry, as the greatest long term threat to gun rights. This is just another particularly foolish example.

Hitler came to power through right-wing militia violence intimidating the public and their opposition, therefore to prevent another Hitler we must preserve the right of individuals to form violent, intimidating right-wing militias.

When you're selling a power fantasy -- hold the lives of hundreds in your hands like a living God-- it doesn't hurt sales for the news to give blanket coverage to images of your product exerting that very power over dozens or hundreds of people.

That doesn't have a particularly great track record either. Without a legitimate monopoly of force, you're just living at the whim of the nearest tyrant, whether that tyrant is a government dictator, a militia captain, or an angry white boy stroking his AR-15 in his mom's basement.

Actually, you're probably better off defending with a non-bump stock firearm as you'll make more accurate shots.

I'd take a scoped hunting rifle against a bump stick AR-15.

The NRA and Republican party want to keep the status quo.  They support children being gunned down in school.

Re-post from another thread:  if liberals really want conservatives to get on board with gun control, the best thing they can do is start a GoFundMe to put AR-15s in the hands of black men
