(NW Florida Daily News)   That man wandering into traffic and sobbing ... that wouldn't have anything to do with meth, would it?   ( nwfdailynews.com) divider line

Probably because of a woman.

Back when I did meth *stopping* made me emotional. Like crying during a nature documentary when a baby gazelle gets eaten by a lion emotional.

At an officer's urging, the man agreed to seek voluntary treatment for his mental issues. While searching his backpack, however, officers found several red bags containing methamphetamine.

A warrant was later filled out for his arrest and he was taken to jail on drug possession and drug equipment charges.

Yeah, that'll help. Good job, guys.

I was told there would be no meth.

before I was diagnosed & eventually properly medicated a TV commercial could make me burst out crying. because sad or happy or melancholy. lots of things were triggers. totally sucked.

You're supposed to save a little for the comedown.

A controlled landing, even a rough one, is far better than a free-fall crash.

/or so I've been told.

Come on, subby. It could just as easily be weltschmerz. Lord knows that's a perfectly sensible reason to be weeping 24/7 these days.

This happened in Niceville Florida. Now I've never been there but if you have to call it Niceville, maybe walking into traffic sobbing is independent of the meth?

It's alright, I suppose. Not much going on there but an Air Force Base. They also celebrate an annual mullet festival. So they've got that going for them...

/So. Alabama, in effect

Ah, yes, methheads...the reason I have to go through hooops to get pseudoephedrine for sinus headeaches that would otherwise shut me down.  Part of their "treatment" should be being punched by those who suffer through their crap.

I actually saw this the other day waiting for the bus in SF.  A normal looking woman was walking down the sidewalk slightly weeping, then crosses a busy intersection and suddenly just kneels down in the crosswalk and starts sobbing uncontrollably.  I was thinking she was going to be run over, but then a homeless looking woman stops and chats with her and gets her up and across.  Then she just keeps on walking while crying.  Now I think I know what happened there.

I'm more weirded out by the heroin nod. I've had people just nod off in front of me while still standing up. Drugs are rampant with the homeless on Maui, mostly in Kihei and Lahaina. The old saying here... cook rice not ice.
