Somebody call the Department of Labor. I'm pretty sure babies aren't supposed to be working before they turn 16.

I'm sure his insurance really helped out with that medical bill.

If he works at 7-11 I'm sure he has some kickass insurance.

unicron702: I'm sure his insurance really helped out with that medical bill.

I had a heart attack a couple of weeks ago (12:05a, 01/27). Admitted to one hospital, stabilized, ambulance ride to a trauma center, a heart catheterization, an angioplasty, one stent, and 4 days in-patient time before they let me go home. I have a wearable external defibrilator rig because I've got roughly a 25% risk of instant death inside the 40-day window following the infarction.

The bill so far is up over $66k. I know some stuff's missing - the defib rig should be running $3k/month and I didn't see any of my new medications pop up yet.

Out of pocket for me should be about $2,500 total. (I don't have 7/11 insurance.)

Last time I saw that kind of news story, the truth was even funnier.  The news site that posted it getting sued into the stone age, he had come home for 2 weeks 10 months earlier, the new site had even known about it, knew the story was going to be controversial, ignored the 2 weeks leave part, and published it with that headline anyway.
