You need an asymmetric bob to drive an asymmetric stearing wheel

"Abandoned Subaru showroom is full of rare, untouched cars from the 1980s - including a sportscar that could be the only one left"

Pic shows a 1990's Impreza... those were SUPER rare in the 1980s

Well, I own a Subaru, enjoy going sideways and love pussy. I guess guilty as charged. Definitions are so fluid nowadays anyway. Just disregard the penis and facial hair.

and the stick shift, when in gear, would move laterally up about 10-12" ... so when I put it in 5th gear, I had to say "pardon me" to my passenger as i reached nearly to the glove box to shift -  it almost looked like the Costanza "move"

Without the digital speedo in the center of my wifes Equinox that thing would be a huge PITA to drive.   WTF are they thinking putting a 140mph speedo on a family truckster that will only hit about 125 and feels squirrely as hell above 110?

Look at the lines on that thing, you go blind trying to read it.

Noticing the "MPH" light makes me wonder if that dial is designed like that to also accommodate measuring KM/H. But then again 140k is only about 88 mph so it's definitely weird.

Wait a minute...88 MPH!! Great Scott!!

That steering wheel and dash  looks like it would be in the car of the last starfighter.

A guy I worked with had one of those.  He was a Boise State football player and the boss was an alumnus, so Jeff got a few "perks".    I understand now that that sort of thing is frowned upon.

Snotnose: My dad bought a brand new Subaru in the early 70s.  Not only did I learn to drive on that front wheel drive stick, dad got over 200k miles out of it with minor maintenance.

A girlfriend of mine bought a 69 Subaru wagon for $400 back in the mid-80s. Except for some electrical problems (that her brother took care of) that thing was a rock.
