I knew it.  I knew asparagus was bad for you.  Mom didn't believe me, I begged her and begged her not to try and give me cancer, but she was deaf to my pleas.  Who's laughing now that you're getting to an age where I can put you in a home?

This is shiat science.  The link between chemicals was originally found back in the 50s/60s, and the chemical is countered by other factors of our diets.  At best this is peer review 50+ years after the initial findings, turned into sensationalism from a desire to sell advertising/papers.

Come on, asparagus botanists and farmers. Why can't you figure out how to make the yummy tips much longer and shrink the stalks which, no matter how many recipes I follow, come out tender or stringy in no predictable manner.

I was thinking "availability and ability even to eat asparagus tracks with disposable income tracks with better spending on screening," but I like yours.
