"Remember Jim Fixx? The big famous jogging guy? Jogged fifteen miles a day. Did a jogging book. Did a jogging video.

Dropped dead of a heart attack when?

When he was f***ing jogging, that's when!"

This morning I saw someone running past my window. It inspired me to get up and close my curtains.

He's still running?  He could be with last year's winners, Whitman, Price, and Haddad, basking under the Maui sun.

Doctor told me to run 5 miles every day.  Two months later, I called him and said "Hey, doc, I'm in Minneapolis.  What should I do?"

Nastinka: idrow: I dunno, I've seen quite a few stories about runners dropping dead.

Same here, I've read that it happens to the extreme runners (10+ miles per day) from enlarged hearts.  I believe it has to do with people who stop after years of doing this, could be genetic related, not sure.  Too much of anything I suppose...

Of course, non-runners never drop dead.

/I will never understand extreme runners.  Jesus Christ just relax once in a while
//I will never understand non-exercisers.  Jesus Christ get off your ass once in a while
///I will understand 3 slashies

I don't run or jog.

I read too many stories on FARK about joggers finding dead bodies or horrific crimes.

/not worth the risk.

I've walked at least a mile a day since 2010. Some day I'll catch up to that turtle.

Who farking cares? I walk my dog at least a mile a day. The neighbors all know who I am and watch for me to go by because the stupid farking dog doesn't care if it's pounding rain or -10° or if I've just had farking surgery. If a goddamn repoter wanted to do a story about me I'd tell him to fark off.
