It moved.

Things make a little more sense now ---- the White House trying to control Bannon's testimony, House Republicans going nutso,  etc.

"The former Trump campaign adviser says he spoke to Trump aide Steve Bannon about Russia in January 2017, at a time when the FBI had a controversial warrant to monitor Page's communications. "

a controversial warrant

Only controversial to idiots.

So, Page must have been a chatty Kathy after the election or something.  That would explain why Republicans had picked Page as their hill to die on.  It was not some arbitrary bullshiat, but there may be some recorded conversations out there that could sink a lot of ships.

I wonder how many DC people had phone conversations with Page and are now shiatting diamonds from all the pressure?

It seems that Page and Manafort have had their hands in so many republican campaigns and PACs, I'm surprised the whole GOP isn't shiatting bricks, it might explain all the retirements.

This is one reason so many of them.are panicked.

It's not that they know they're guilty.

It's that they know this story is going to dig up a bunch of rabbit holes, and none of them know exactly how many of those rabbit holes end up their garden.

Boy, it's so controversial to take out a warrant to monitor to see if someone is engaging in illegal activity, and you CATCH THEM DOING IT! How controversial! It's almost as if this wasn't a fishing expedition, but an investigation by an agency that knew what the f*ck they were doing...

Yeah, but they were talking about adoptions.

To be fair the expansion to FISA abilities under the Patriot Act is beyond horrifying and we need to clamp down. Having said this it IS the law at present and most of these farkwads were enthusiastically for it when they thought it would be pointed at brown people.

Look here.. they caught us redhanded, but only because of surveillances put into place before we even committed any crimes. Surely, this invalidates any investigation into our deeds!

Between this and the breaking Seth Abramson thread, it is plainly obvious that Page is a complete farking idiot and a traitor who needs to be shot, hung, drawn and quartered. If not only working for a hostile foreign lower, but trying to step above his limited mental capacity.

I kinda doubt Bannon was gung-ho on the Russia stuff, but we'll see. Maybe these intercepted conversations consisted of profanity directed at Page interspersed with content that just happens to implicate other players.

Here's a thought.  Maybe the guy is lying to escape blame himself.  Not that I like Bannon, but it seems pretty clear from Fire and Fury that he wanted as far away from anything to do with Russia as possible.  So I doubt it was discussed substantively, that being said, an incidental mention could have occurred.

I like your thinking here, but let's hang him first, but cut him down before he quits kicking, resuscitate him, then shoot him, but not mortally, just several times around the periphery. Give him a couple hours to enjoy the fruits of treason then draw and quarter...

I have not completely let go of the thin strand of hope that one of Trump's "best people" is in fact a plant by either the FBI or the Dems.  I would hope that the opposition party had to foresight to infiltrate, but then I look at the Dem. party leadership and have serious doubt.

It's something. We already know he's obsessed with loyalty and that his administration has high turnover. He could be attempting a Stalinesque purge of the disloyals/moles. Hell, if someone's so inclined they could just strongly hint there's a plant somewhere near the top and watch the theatrics.

So the upshot will be, just like the Nixon tapes, tapes will appear near the end game, forcing Trump to justice. This time, the tapes will be from FISA. I'm guessing why they didn't do anything right away is they still had to a) piece everything together, and b) it really is a criminal iceberg requiring extensive investigation.

The administration and their water carriers probably have known this for awhile, but the protracted obstruction has slowed the investigation enough to where we are now. It's rather gruesome that a majority of a political party would aid in that obstruction due to what? venality? fear? And galling that so few will be held criminally accountable. The best we can do as voters is punish them in the only way we can.

While I'd prefer that Trump gets his corrupt ass kicked out of office far earlier, wouldn't it be glorious if the pee tapes surfaced on Donald Trump's birthday (June 14th)?

Its 35 pages published version
38 pages unpublished version, approaching 40 pages fast
I am right now adding a section about Trump, The GOP, and Foxnews working together.  It seems important in light of Hannity's exploits of late.

Yeah, well I do. Mensch is a Russian disinformation campaign, at best.

Quote and link from May 2017:

"Sources further say that the Supreme Court notified Mr. Trump that the formal process of a case of impeachment against him was begun, before he departed the country on Air Force One. The notification was given, as part of the formal process of the matter, in order that Mr. Trump knew he was not able to use his powers of pardon against other suspects in Trump-Russia cases. Sources have confirmed that the Marshal of the Supreme Court spoke to Mr. Trump."

We're not getting the top down picture. After I read the Simpson testimony (the fusion gps guy) it tied a few things up for me, and keep in mind most of what fusion (not Steele) was digging up was public record stuff. If what Mueller has gets published somehow then we get the view from the top. It probably looks simple, even inevitable, from his POV.

I don't doubt that. I was thinking more of the conspiracy theories and contortions coming from Republicans trying to obfuscate, redirect, or claim there's nothing to see here. It's truly mind boggling.
