Initially read superlative as super-laxative.

I'm crestfallen.

That's worse than the attrition rate for One-L's back in the day.

Staff? No one expected Trump to win (including Trump) so any plans to bring in seasoned politicos/administrators was never considered. Ergo, no one had a clue what to do after the election/inauguration (Bannon had a vision but was clueless on how to implement them) and people tend to get jettisoned amidst chaos.

Clearly, there were just so many of The Best People that they had to take turns.

That's all...

This administration is a shiatshow, it's chaos. I doubt that anyone working in Trump's inner circle are capable of managing this abortion of a presidency. It seems to have driven Ge. Kelly seems to have lost his sanity somewhere in the halls of the White House. This is an absolute disaster that will take us decades to recover from, if ever.

D.C. outs crawling with smart, ambitious, experienced people who would cheerfully give away their first and second born children to work in the White House. But since the current hiring criteria is lack of relevant experience and a willingness to iron Donnie's pants while he's still in them, none of them were considered. And D2S has managed to turn having the White House on your resume from "write your own ticket" to "never work in this town again."

I'd say it's a record we'll never see broken,  but who knows what fresh terroe the American people will elect down the road, now that this corpulent wad of malignant bile and stupidity has broken the seal

He only hires the best people... until they leave to make room for even best-er people. Study it out.

Did they mean higher than ALL previous presidents?

Or perhaps higher than the previous five combined?

He's creating jobs isn't he? MOAR people have jobs at the White House now, so isn't that what you Libs wanted?

Sheesh, what does the man have to do to please you people? Pass cogent and useful legislation? Advance American interests overseas? Defend the liberties of all Americans equally, and deliver upon the promises of our Constitution and ideals?

Next thing you know, you're going to say that he can't pocket some Federal cash on the side, or hire his kids or their spouses for jobs that they're not qualified for, or don't even really show up for...

If I didn't have morals, I'd do it. I say that because I don't have a good history for keeping jobs for long due to three chronic health issues (chronic pain, though I just had corrective surgery to hopefully cute the pain; and severe depression and anxiety(in large part related to the chronic pain). And yes, I know that employers can't discriminate against medical issues but my former employers have found creative ways around that.

Sigh. I'm so beaten down mentally and emotionally that I'm seriously considering filing for disability. I'm only in my 30s - my 33rd birthday is this March FCS. 😢

I can see them now, tacked onto the bulletin boards of DC-area supermarkets: "Wanted: Trump staffers. Must speak fluent Russian and have valid driver's license. Call (202) TREASON for more details"

Chaos is a ladder.

I'm kind of hoping they end up with literally no one working in the white house, and Pence has to give the tours.

He also has the highest rate of apple turnovers.
