(The Hill)   Trump announces his pick to be the new IRS Commissioner and, surprising many political observers, it's NOT "That weird Sovereign Citizen guy who hangs out at the used bookstore and goes on and on about how the 16th amendment was illegally ratified"   ( thehill.com) divider line
More: Interesting, IRS, Tax, Senate-confirmed IRS commissioner, IRS Advisory Council, recent IRS commissioners, Internal Revenue Service, John Trump Tillerson, lawyer Charles Rettig

Documents showing the new guy helped Trump dodge taxes for decades in 3....2...

Further proof that Trump is no true Republican. A real Republican would be busy trying to repeal the 16th amendment. And maybe the 17th too, just because it might be guilty by numerical proximity. (Although the 17th should be repealed too, IMHO).

Let's nominate someone who specializes in getting drug traffickers off to be the head of the DEA and see what the response is.

It's more like a big ball of fringey-flaggy sovvy city... stuff.

Well, he did identify this problem/benefit. Check your bank balance to be sure.

"He noted that an overall financial picture will not surface by simply reviewing Trump's returns since he likely "pays taxes at a lesser rate than many of us given the nature of his real estate and similar investments being subjected to lower tax rates than salaries earned by the rest of us."

Chuck's overqualified to work for this administration.

In this particular case, it's not so important that the person be dedicated to the usual amount of craziness that permeates this administration, but they need one simple qualification: absolute loyalty to the cause of keeping his tax returns secret.

It's worse.

Somehow, some way, we will eventually discover that it's worse.

Yes, you moron, that's WHY we want to see his returns, to find out if as president he's pushed particular tax breaks that would personally benefit himself.

DeaH: He has an interesting background. \

So he actually might be good at this job.

This is like the Fed pick then. Good.

If they're going to repeal anything, it would be the 15th and 19th Amendments.

He'll figure out how to burn down the IRS from inside.

More like Mick Mulvaney's turn at CFPB and less of than that Sov Citizen flying his plane into the Austin IRS field office.

Mick was in "top" form this week after declining action against Equifax's data breach.

Wow, I'm Trumpressed*!  It was someone who works in the field.  Amazing!  Now, what's wrong with him?  Which Klan chapter does this guy belong to?

*Impressed at the same level as an 18 year old when a grandparent steals their nose for the Nth time.

None of the above.  When they briefed him reading the US Constitution Trumperdink lost interest and rolled his eyes  long before they got to the amendments.

That one is good, but for really over-the-top craziness, look at the videos of ":David-Wynn: Miller".  His "QUANTUM-LANGUAGE-PARSE-SYNTAX-GRAMMAR" is TimeCube-level insanity, and he's living proof that no matter how dumb your ideas are, there's someone dumb enough to believe them.  He's actually been consulted for legal advice by other sov cits, including the couple who tried to argue that affixing postage stamps to their clothing made them legally equivalent to royalty (as if royalty would commit the huge fashion faux pas of wearing postage stamps after Easter).

I want this guy to leak them so bad. Like on an unattended usb stick or something just Derp it all up.

My theory is that if Donnie gets someone who seems qualified for the job through the rigorous Republican congressional hazing, then they're in on the con.

They will be be the ones saying "this is fine" while it all burns, assuming they didn't start the fire.

The idiots are there just to fill seats and cause chaos.
