Well it vindicates him in the sense that for a change Trump is being consistent, he still doesn't want the FBI telling the President about how Russia meddled and is meddling, certainly not if it's something a President would have to read.

They specifically said that any texts unrelated to the Russia investigation would be redacted or withheld. Anyone touting these as proof Obama's meddled in the email investigation was intentionally lying. Or a complete dumbass.

In Hannity's case, "both" is a valid option.

Most people who listen to Trump supporters at this point are probably not the sharpest knives in the drawer...

Seriously, I'm a rare Democrat in my family, and not a single person, even my retired parents, believe a single statement Trump says.

The President can look into intelligence investigations. He cannot look into criminal investigations.

The POTUS the text messages were referring to was Obama, and at the time they were sent the Russia/Carter Page investigation was still an intelligence op.

Hey Devin, sorry to bother you as you "work" on your latest "memo", but thanks to your bullshiat memo and a bunch of idiot drunk Russians hyping it up, the entire media has been fact checking everything you asshairs are doing and are pushing a coordinated narrative that the GOP is likely openly obstructing justice, based entirely on the reactions of the GOP and the President. Now media is asking the questions only Farkers were during the first days after the inauguration, when Republican shills were still in full press "No collusion fake news" mode. Thanks to you, the media is finally putting all the dots together.

Now carry on and keep jerking it to grapefruits.

I can guarantee that, not because I give Attorney General Lynch a directive, that is institutionally how we have always operated. I do not talk to the Attorney General about pending investigations. I do not talk to FBI directors about pending investigations. We have a strict line, and always have maintained it as president," Obama told Wallace.

"So, just to button this up ... " Wallace said.

 "I guarantee it," Obama confirmed.

"You ... " Wallace started to ask another question, but Obama cut him off.

"I guarantee that there is no political influence in any investigation conducted by the Justice Department, or the FBI, not just in this case, but in any case," Obama said.

They can't even lie with any kind of competence.  [sigh]  And yet, it's believed anyway.

2018-02-08 12:46:36 PM
The deal now is that since they have attacked all sources of independent information as corrupted by Obama/liberalism, there is no resource to suggest that Russia meddled in the election. If you assume that Hillary fabricated Russian meddling as a cudgel to beat Trump and/or frame him when she lost than any investigation into Russian hacking of American servers (multiple government departments, the DNC, the RNC, Podesta, etc.) is synonymous with an investigation into Trump.

That's right: Trump and Russia are so unrelated that any investigation into Russian actions would be a violation of Trump's civil rights because he would unfairly be implicated because there were no Russian actions to investigate. Simple, yes?

Obama was a dedicated public servant, an intelligent thoughtful leader and a compassionate, level-headed president.

The Right tried to label him as everything else with zero evidence.  They said he hated America, that he was a Muslim, that he was determined to destroy the country, that he hated white people etc and had no basis for any of these accusations.

They are still at it, while their shrieking sentient carrot leader does all the things they accused Obama of.

We're not through the looking glass, people; we are in a different farking universe.

No, they're not. D'you think Nunes, or any other Republican in Congress, thinks this bullshiat is real?

Republicans are making up conspiracies to manipulate conspiracy theorists, and to try to muddy the waters to fark with Mueller's investigation. Yes, the President is a conspiracy theorist, but he's not running the government; the people manipulating him are.

How is there political influence in what we know of this update? Obama asked to find out what they had on Russian hacking, the FBI provided it, and 3 days later Obama confronted Putin on it directly.

You have one agent telling another to be ready to brief Comey on what they are working on because "potus wants to know everything". Where in that is Obama attempting to direct or steer the investigation apparent in that language? You are attributing intent and malice from a comment by someone who had second hand knowledge of the reason for the meeting.

The only way the Republicans could shock me would be if they admitted that there was totally collusion with Russia and they went along with it to rob the country blind and maintain their power and then proceeded to impeach and arrest Trump and expel any members who participated in the collusion and cover up.  Other than that, I'm through being shocked by these sentient dildos.

"two folks associated with misleading the FISC" = Grassley-Graham and Gowdy confirmed that the Steele dossier was noted as being uncorroborated and coming from a political entity but coming from a  former previously reliable FBI source: explain how it was misleading.

"how much they hate Trump" = the only politician they said anything positive about was John Kasich. They called Trump an idiot and bemoaned how the FBI was mishandling the Clinton investigation when they did not believe she was guilty (which their involvement in investigating her in spite of that is to be seen as bias in her favor) but disregard that they were skeptical of the investigation into Trump (and the fact they were involved in investigating him in spite of that is proof of bias against Trump.)

"Are called on to brief Obama from time to time" = they were called once to brief Comey on the Russia investigation, Comey briefed Obama on it, and Obama confronted Putin on it without trying to implicate Trump in it all in about the span of half a week.
