"I'm not part of that decision," said Rep. Mike Conaway, R-Texas. "You've got to talk to Devin. I don't know what they're trying to do one way or the other."
"I swear to God I didn't know that," said Rep. Tom Rooney, R-Florida, when asked about the plan. While acknowledging a wall might not be constructive for the committee's work, he said, "The level of trust and the level of everything down there is - it's poison. It's absolute poison down there."

Just so I'm clear, we have members of the House INTELLIGENCE committee that are lacking any intel on what members of their own committee are doing.

Am I taking crazy pills here?

So, divide and conquer is their philosophy? Funny, I thought the US motto was "E pluribus unum", which should be represented in our government. But that would require mature people who are willing to put aside differences and work through their issues, rather than building actual walls (and not just metaphorical ones).

The democrat staffers should take full advantage of this.

Duct tape dead fish to the bottom of the desks on the Republican side.
Smear exlax into all the workings and crevasses of the Republican coffee maker.
Lock the door to the Republican bathroom, and shove some bubblelicious into the keyhole.

And then man the ramparts and refuse to let them pass the wall to use the Democrat toilet.

Rooney said one reason for the tension is an erosion of trust, exacerbated by an ongoing ethics investigation into the "entire Republican staff," including "the woman up front that answers the phone" for alleged leaks.[b/]He later added that the matter was being handled by the Office of Congressional Ethics.

I see it as Nunes' fellow GOP committee members trying to distance themselves from the radioactive shiat fan that is about to spray all over them due to Nunes' hijynx.  Remember, releasing the Democratic response memo was unanimous.  I imagine a good part of that was those GOP members explaining to Nunes the shiat that he is in.

This is the result of the true believers raised a Rush babies getting no power. The old guard republicans have lost control and would be voted out of office for trying to stop it. These new republicans believe every farking lie from the right wing news sphere and are fighting enemy's that never existed. It's why people like even Gowdy are heading for the exits. Gowdy is awful but he was a federal prosecutor and understands what attacking institutions as opposed to a person i.e. Clinton does.

R: You have no proof we were taking to the Russians, maybe we were just coordinating with Fox News about it.

Section 3. Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.

It's an indication that yes, a substantial part of the Republican party is implicated in the Russia thing, yes, they know they're caught, and yes, they're flailing frantically down in the hold, trying to push the water out that's rushing into the ship.

Well, if you're collaborating with the administration you're supposed to be investigating you wouldn't want any pesky Democrats to be able to walk past unexpectedly and see what you're working on, would you?

And the way Nunes is freaking the absolute fark out for the last few months, but even worse right now, suggests to me that he is personally implicated in a crime himself. He knows he's in deep shiat, and this is all total desperation as he sees the writing on the wall. He is acting like he knows he's going away for a long time unless he figures out a way to derail or discredit the various investigations. He's throwing everything at the wall to see wwhat sticks, because whatever he did is bad enough that the potential consequences of the shiat he's doing now matter less to him than somehow avoiding prosecution.

Proximately, Paul Ryan, by not stripping him of the chairmanship for not doing his job well.

Ultimately, Putin, through Trump and the vassal oligarchs Putin uses to control the GOP through campaign and PAC money.
