The lies just keep on coming. Constant. Ceaseless.
There is no line for the GOP.
Sorry to say, we are gonna need an open season to get the country back.

Democrats could counteract these eleven GOP votes but they do not do so and thus they are the ones who are at fault because GOP Senators are not responsible for their own actions.

The rest of the positions he hasn't actually made any nominations or the nominee stepped down in disgrace for being exactly who you thought they were

This. It is basically like bringing you kids to art museum and ripping down ththe exhibits. They are children and not responsible for their actions you were supposed to be the adults in the room.

I work for a company that does a lot of business with coal mines and hard-rock quarries, both of which frequently require blasting at some level. There is a government organization, the Mine Safety & Health Administration, that is supposed to look out for the well-being of the men and women working in those mines and quarries. Currently, the sentient Cheeto has a guy nominated for a position on the Mine Safety and Health Review Commission who worked to defend coal companies from accusations of violating safety standards. The Cheeto made all kinds of noise about bringing back coal jobs, about putting people back to work, and then tries to put someone with no regard for their safety in a position to negatively impact it. Who do you think The Cheeto really cares about in this situation? If it's the workers, you're fooling yourself.

On a side note, we have our annual MSHA safety training course coming up in March. The guy who has run it for the past several years is an outspoken Republican who also says he is concerned about the safety of miners in this country. I look forward to asking him how he is processing all this. His guy won the election and has set out to roll back the very safety mechanisms that protect the miners he wants to send back into the pits. I think his head might explode.

I'd just like to say I love this Farkism of pretending Ron Howard is narrating the presidency like it's an even more dysfunctional version of Arrested Development.

Narrator:...

You know, if, in 10-15 years when Ken Burns is working on the 38-part docuseries about this mess, if he DOESN'T get Ron Howard to correct everything the president says in the archival footage, I'm going to be seriously disappointed.

But Trump is such a "great negotiator".....if the definition of negotiation means "Give me everything I want, and in return, I give you nothing".

Trump said he'd bring back coal jobs. You want a safe coal job, make a billion bucks so you can sit in an office and make other people get black lung for your next billion.

When Republicans block every appointment by Obama, that's Republicans being patriots.

But when Republicans block Trump appointments, that's Democrats being obstructionist.

Sounds legit.

If he's talking about judges. He's getting a record number installed.
If he's blathering on about ambassadors or agency staff, it's because he's not putting anyone forward.

I have my Trumper relatives coughing *RINO* whenever Cory Gardner's name is mentioned, so he's done this one teeny tiny thing right at least.

Ethanol?  I thought we got over that crap once we realized it boosted gas prices to ridiculous levels.

Then again, we need something to do with corn.

So Republicans do something and Democrats get blamed for it. Must be a day ending in Y.

2018-02-08 12:06:46 PM
Hilarious when you consider yesterday, third way Farkers were falling over themselves to say the Democrats should bend over backwards on the budget deal, lest Republicans call them obstructionists.

It's almost as if we're in a scenario where the opposing party is not a group of rational actors.

It's not a lie if you're too stupid to understand the truth and don't care what it is, anyway.

I've no doubt that Trump believes what he says here was true. As much as he can be said to believe anything or understand the concept of truth, anyway.

I know (hope) you're kidding, but you do point something out. I think they genuinely believe that. One of my teen daughters just tried that "logic" that it was my fault she broke my laptop because she's grounded and lost her phone for a week. If I hadn't taken her phone away, she wouldn't have needed to use my computer. Congratulations Congress! You're on par with a 13 year old's reasoning.

In other words, the Democrats are no longer politically relevant.  This is a fight between pro-Trump and anti-Trump Republicans, and the Democrats can't even muster the political will to be kingmakers.

Yep - the GOP owns the show, and everything that happens is on them.
Maybe one of these days Cletus will figure out that elections have consequences.

Why would Dems step in and stop the Republitards from shooting themselves in their feet. And knees. And dicks. And arms. And...well, you get the idea.
