(Patch)   Gerber's "spokesbaby" for 2018 is the first baby with Down syndrome to become the face of the brand. This is actually quite uplifting   ( patch.com) divider line

Gerber home of one of the all-time great marketing bloopers: Selling baby food in Africa where products generally used images of the contents so people who didn't read the language on the container would know. Gerber products had babies on them.

They must been pissed when they got home and the jar of baby tasted like carrots.

Well at least now they've scaled down the blooper so that those same Africans merely think they're buying a jar of extra chromosomes.

This is the most adorable child I have ever seen. Ever. Not only do I applaud this choice, at no point did it occur to me to make an off-color joke that in no way violates Fark rules. I just want to be clear about that. This is an adorable child, and an adorable choice. I cherish the opportunity to express how very much I believe that everything about this is adorable, and in no way wish to court controversy in saying anything otherwise. Because Fark is nothing if not a serious place, for discussions about serious things, including how adorable that adorable things are.

Adorable.

Um...he's an 18 month old baby. Meaning he looks exactly like every other 18 month old baby, Downs or not.

Probably prenatal testing and then offering at a choice between child support and an abortion.

Exactly the same thing I'd do for any kid I had:

Be glad I didn't tell the mom my real name

To get back to business, they are looking for life long costumers. If you know what I mean.
