I really think we could have done without the MLS and WNBA teams here. We get one team with a stupid name and now just go nuts.

When you get your own serial killer then you know you're big-time. I remember the DC sniper back in '02, I was so proud as I sprinted from my car into any store I wanted to get in to, as I ducked behind sheets to pump my gas, as my friends and neighbors had anxiety attacks. What a time to be alive!

We're making tourists pay for them. Not that I am happy about us getting the Raiders, the worst mass shooting in history, and now a possible serial killer, but at least the Raiders should end up paying dividends in the long run.

Although I am fine with their cheerleaders being known as "America's Cheerleaders".

Yknow, i wonder which results in more murders, NFL team vs serial killers.

One one hand you've got vicious madmen with possible brain damage killing people left & right.

And on the other hand youve got serial killers.

Sweet.  After almost pulling the trigger on "delusional trucker," I ended up taking "creepy drive-by night stalker" in my last serial killer fantasy league draft.  So this trade to the Las Vegas franchise should work out well for me.

Yup. If it wasn't for the miracle of modern science his willy would probably still be rotting in a ditch in Prince William county to this day. Instead it's been in a bunch of pornos over the last few decades.

The $8 beers at the bars inside the large casinos isn't helping, either.  I used to go down there once a year at the very least, and I will still go on occasion, but IMHO, the city has changed a lot, and not for the better.

Too many of the properties seem to treat you with his attitude:  "You should be grateful just to be here, so we are going to charge ridiculous prices."

Side note:

For cheap drinks and people-watching, go to the Stage Door Casino...it's on Flamingo, and just a short walk from The Strip.

So true.  Excellent hospitality used to be something pretty much anyone could expect from the high roller down to the nickle slots, now it's just another tourist trap where the people serving you act burdened by your presence.

Good call.

I discovered The Stage Door when I was at the Westin.  The room rate there wasn't cheap, but it was enjoyable:

1) Short walk to the Stage Door and Strip.
2) It has a laid-back vibe to it...seemed it was mostly business travelers and families.
3) Free drinks during the afternoon happy hour out by the pool.

Bingo.

I first started going there in college (late 90s/early 00s), and even when you compare that time versus now, there is a huge difference.

/Close friend's first bachelor party was in Vegas.
//Thankfully, his second one later this year will be in a different city.
///Like I said earlier, I'll still go to Sin City, but it just won't be often.
