An Ozzy retirement tour? Is it 1991 already?

Ozzy's playing 3 miles from my house this June.

He loves Donington - it's like his second home.

Well at least he will still be making music, so that is cool. I do watch Ozzy & Jacks World Detour, my guilty pleasure.

Perhaps Subtard doesn't realize Ozzy gets a lifetime pass for singing on the first 4 Sabbath albums. /Attended 3 shows with the original Sabbath lineup. Ozzy had very little problem hitting the tougher notes of the old songs.

Does he lip sync?  I can't imagine he has much of a voice left....

Life Won't Wait is an excellent tune for recent ozzy stuff

Absolutely he does. Watched maybe 10 minutes of "The Osbournes". He was suffering from an injury stumbling around the back yard with a walking cane trying to catch the "fu'in cat!" It was among the saddest things I've ever seen. He's the Prince of Darkness for farks sake!

Only goes to show you, you don't destroy like the first 4 Sabbath albums without it taking it's toll.

I think watching Lemmy the last year before his death also did something to him.  When Lem started to go he went fast and there was nothing to stop him.  The two were close.

All this "first four albums" praise just makes me want to blare Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.  Why it's hardly ever talk of the "first five" is beyond me.

So much good music on that album. It's probably their most technical one too.

/the 'Paranoid' album blew my mind when I first heard it when I was 12.
//really hope he adds some dates to the U.S. leg. The closest he's gonna be to me is L.A.

You raise a very valid point. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is hands down one of my favorites as well.

That's it, picking up some beer and tonight is Brutal Legend night! If you're an old metal fan and haven't played it you are doing yourself a disservice. You play the ultimate Roadie voiced by Jack Black and anyone who's anyone in old metal makes a cameo. Can't wait to run into the Kill Master and Prince of Darkness again!

Same when he toured with Black Sabbath a few years back. Was akin to watching an old man sing karaoke. Tommi Iommi could still shred.

Bog blast all of you ! I got to see the original line up once.... ozzfest 2005, Nissan Pavillion any of you there? they reunited for the some of the tour, not sure if they stuck together for the remainder of the tour. Im glad i got that under my belt, its a shame that ticket costs and venues are so expensive or Id love to do festivals. It was pretty cool seeing Rob Zombie 5 feet away in a Beatles t-shirt too.

He's playing three shows each within two and a half hours of my house. I will be at all three. I'll probably pony up the scratch for another meet and greet. I've been a Sabbath fan since 1972. Haters and people mocking him can suck it.

I am actually leaning in slightly so I don't look quite so tall. I think Ozzy was a little scared of me. Tony was cool and conversed with me for a moment. Geezer is a little dude and he didn't even make eye contact. Still, an incredible moment even though it was super expensive!

It seemed like he was going through some pretty bad DTs throughout the show as well. He tried to pass it off as Parkinson's, but I've been through DTs enough to know what they look and sound like, plus he seemed to get magically better. Which definitely doesn't happen with Parkinson's.

That would make sense. Still, couldn't even finish the episode. Felt completely exploitative and predatory. I've seen loved ones fade away in senility, not how you want to see your idols. That was one of 2 events that made me forsake reality tv in it's entirety and social media as it's natural extension.

I'd love to hear Tony talk about what he recalls about The Rolling Stones Rock And Roll Circus weekend shows with him on guitar with Jethro Tull, John Lennon, The Who, and Stones. And Clapton and Mitch Mitchell.

That and Sharon pretty much drove his legacy to shiat with that and screwing over musicians who wrote Ozzy's stuff (Jake E. Lee definitely comes to mind). Ozzy did wonders when she was behind the scenes managing his career, but once her and their kids took center stage, it pretty much shot that to hell.

On the other hand, Amie Osbourne, one of the ones who avoided the spotlight, has done some incredible music without riding Ozzy's coattails. Sort of a Sigur Ros kinda deal:
