Trump spread wide open is one video I don't want to watch.

Trump has very limited experience with any "open book".
ever

Again, he is using words he has no mastery of.

2018-02-07 08:10:39 AM
No, he's saying that he's dumb as a post and thinks he can lie his way through anything.

Everyone... EVERYONE tweet to him saying one of the following three things:

"You don't have the balls to talk to Mueller, do you?"

"Hillary testified under oath. You're not as strong as her."

"Mueller is smarter than you, I understand why you would hide from him."

It's rare that a single person can affect politics on such a grand level, but this dipshiat is so thin-skinned and narcissistic, I wouldn't doubt that a single tweet from a stranger would push him to show just how "strong" he is and perjure himself.

2018-02-07 10:18:19 AM
Given his arrogance and juvenile "you don't tell ME what to do!" oppositional behavior, I wouldn't be surprised if he did.  Then tweeted right before they put the cuffs on:  "NAILED IT!"

2018-02-07 10:24:31 AM
The "I have always relied upon the kindness of strangers..." defense is an interesting turn...

2018-02-07 10:26:18 AM
Trump, you're the greatest and smartest President we've ever had, you can do no wrong
Now get in there and show Mueller what's what! Just let the words flow like a river!

So in a written questionnaire, does it just end up being Trump's lawyers that write it out?

Mueller shouldn't settle for anything less than a face-to-face questioning session.  Treat Trump like anybody else involved in possible criminal activity.

2018-02-07 10:36:10 AM
So we've at least got him on the perjury, at least

It begs the question,  "Is it still a lie, if you believe it ?"
His capability for self delusion is beyond belief.

Is it possible that he's so delusional that he actually thinks he did nothing wrong?

By all means, Mr. President.

2018-02-07 10:38:07 AM
His lawyers tried to get him to read the article about his previous deposition in the real estate case, but it was too long...

People are saying that when Trump finally comes face to face with this damned investigator, that he'll put them in their place. He'll put all this to rest. He'll put an end to it. Bigly. Only Trump can do it. He'll have to do it himself.

I think that's a given.  For one, he's escaped consequences his entire life, so he probably thinks he's never done anything wrong.  On top of that, he clearly thinks the President of the US is immune to the law and by definition incapable of doing anything wrong.

It's possible. It's also possible that he's bluffing and he doesn't really want to talk to Mueller.

Remember Trump wrote his son's statement about the adoption meeting, and his doctor's letter.

Trump is the type of guy who would want to improve his lawyers answers.

And he has sucky lawyers who can't even spell, spellcheck or have someone edit their lawvtalking papers.

He firmly believes in the Power of Positive Thinking. He can make it true if he just believes it hard enough.

Doesn't matter. Mueller will catch him in lie after lie and NOTHING WILL COME OF IT. He won't be impeached by GOP for any reason and Mueller will never get to try him. Trump will be reelected and nothing will change.

What worries me is that Mueller can find everything, recommend charges to congress and everything - money laundering, obstruction of justice, etc. - is public knowledge and we all know he's guilty. And the  republicans don't do anything. Then what do we do?

Trump is willing to say "I have done nothing wrong" under oath. That ought to do it. It's not like there's any other questions to ask him.

Bet Obama wouldnt be willing to go under oath. Using fake info to obtain dubious Fisa warrants so you have an insurance policy against incoming candidates is Federal prison type stuff.

Trump is an expert at testifying under oath. Smart people have told him he is the best they've seen testify under oath.

How he thinks it will go:

"Well, Mr. President, would you please state for the record that you are innocent?"

"Glad to, Bob, I'm like, the most innocent person ever, never done anything wrong. Glad I could help. If you could see your way to shutting this thing down by the end of the week, and getting Hillary and Obama in prison by Monday, I could offer you to two tickets to my Big Military Parade, and also I have a buy-two-entrees-get-one-half-off coupon at Gropeacabana for you, remember that you have to order two drinks per diner with that, along with, of course, the $200,000 membership fee."

"Thank you so much, Mr. President. Truly, you are a great man."

But here's the part he doesn't anticipate. Mueller in his battered raincoat raises his cigar-clenching hand just as he reaches the door.

"Just one more thing, Mr. President, almost slipped my mind..."

2018-02-07 10:50:22 AM
No, what he is doing here is pretending he wants to testify, "because he has nothing to hide," that way, when his lawyers find a way to deny Mueller, he can claim that he always wanted to testify and that it was Mueller who made it impossible for his lawyers to agree. See, that way he looks like he's innocent.

Obama let Mueller question him and he was the best at answering everything, no doubt about it. Nobody answers questions as good as Obama!

Based on this line in the article, it is entirely possible: "One person familiar with Trump's thinking said -- in addition to believing he is entirely innocent -- part of what's fueling the President's willingness to participate is his belief that he has experience with lawsuits and testifying under oath from his time in the real estate business."

If you have ever read or watched any of Trump's depositions that are publicly available, he is absolutely terrible at it.  I am starting to think that Trump either does not remember or has no idea what the outcome of actual cases where he testified are.  He probably walks out and then his lawyers negotiate a big settlement to shut down the case and Trump thinks that means he totally won.

For example, in the case where Trump sued the author of the book that said Trump's net worth was a quarter of what Trump claimed and Trump testified and ended up losing the case.  Trump still crowed about how he won because it cost the other guy so much money to defend the case.

Narrator:  It didn't cost the other guy anything.
