Doesn't this happen like every 70 years or so with the plague sort of, waving 'hello.  Remember me?' at humnity?

If you don't brush your teeth and floss, I'm afraid you'll have it.

No one knew the plague could be so deadly, believe me.  The biggest, baddest plague, and let me tell you this,...Obama did nothing...NOTHING about the possibility of the plague.  UNBELIEVEABLE. Some people are talking, they say Obama told people they didn't have to get vaccinations. A lot of people are saying this. By the way, I was the first one to get immunized, because, and this is important, I saw all this coming.  That's right.  I didn't let them tell me what to do, I took charge and immunized MYSELF. Nobody immunizes like I do, believe me.  The BEST IMMUNIZATIONS. That, I guarantee.

An oxymoron, like "stomach flu" or "Farker who RTFA".

If you're a cat lover, read no further.

I'm serious, don't.... -just click on something else.

Now,

I'm not particularly upset about this. I wouldn't wish this nasty disease on anyone's beloved pet/s, but people who love their pets are likely to have vaccinated their pets, so that kind of works out, and I hope they don't fall victim to this disease.

There's a problem with feral cats in Oz. Pets who are dumped in the bush (or "wilderness" as it's otherwise known), or mistreated animals who escape to forage for themselves, or animals who are allowed to wander and lose their way, in any case the feral cat population is a serious problem for the native animal species. If the disease spreads to the unvaccinated wild cat population, it might just be a good thing overall.

Again, I wouldn't wish this on anyone's pets, but feral cats are another matter.

It is, Yersinia pestis IIRC.  Headline must be misleading, which is such a rarity on Fark these days.

When you say "the plague" without any other qualifiers, it means the bubonic plague.  The Black Death.  Headline is misleading clickbait.

Bubonic Plague is alive and well.

NSCSS:  When I first moved to CA, my husband and I used to hike the foothills every Wednesday after work and every weekend.  One Wednesday, we found one of our favorite trails was closed with a sign posted that cautioned hikers about "plague squirrels" with info about bubonic plague.  I thought it was a joke, but nope.  Hubby said this happens pretty much every other year or so.  Kinda put the kaibash on my outdoor enthusiasm for a little while.  The beach became our new favorite.

Good. The plague was the best thing that happened during the dark ages, it paved the way for the Renaissance.

Actually, the article states that the disease was hiding out for decades in the feral cat population already.

Autistic people never want to socialize.  So my question is, if your cat catches the autism from the vaccine, how would you ever know?

Because cats can see into peoples souls and no republican wants shiat in their shoes every morning.

Thats fine and dandy, but the overall point is that cats not getting vaccinated is the fault of Liberals.  And in fact, its probably a majority of humans who don't get vaccinated too... is hippy dippy New Age Liberals.

Self-identified conservatives are actually less likely to support vaccination than their more liberal counterparts
